That was my second stay in Liwan Hotel, the first one was 3 or 4 years ago where they were doing some work to the whole place so it was a mess.. The staff were nice and they fulfilled my request of having one room for two adults and two kids by adding one large bed into it. It's cleanliness... More

This hotel is in Sweifieh area, right next to Baraka mall. This is a busy area with just about anything you can think of a block away. There are so many cafes and restaurants that I couldn’t try all the ones I wanted to. The hotel is a good deal for its rate… my room was clean and comfortable, but... More

I was part of a G-Adventures tour and the Liwan is their hotel in Amman. So I didn't have a choice and we stayed there 2 nights at the beginning of the tour, plus one final night at the end. Like almost every establishment in the Jordanian capital, you can smoke everywhere in the Liwan Hotel. Which means that wherever... More

The Liwan in Amman Jordan is a sorry sight! We got a double room with a small ante chamber - dim dingy looking rooms - an outdated CRT TV in the ante room - no lights in the bed room - ac not working. The list is endless. The bidet in the bathroom spouted water that flew past the bedroom.... More

A hotel where the rooms are old and in need of renovation. The AC did not work at all - we slept with the windows open to cool the room. The rooms had a musty cigarette smell. The first night we had to have them check the electric points as well as put in bulbs as there was no light... More

This hotel was chosen by the tour company. It is located in a busy shopping area, so no shortage of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is not up to standard, the carpets are old and needs changing, beds are cheap quality, food is average. In my view, they could upgrade few of the things mentioned and make this a... Stayed in the Liwan on 3 separate occasions on a recent trip to Amman. Its located in the west, but only about a 15 minute / 3 JD taxi ride from downtown. Reception is clean and bright and the staff at reception were really helpful with good English. Yes there is a smell of cigarettes, but this is fairly normal... More

As part of tour group, we stayed two nights with a different hotel in between. First night our room was almost suite-like. Bathroom modern and squeaky clean. Second night was in a totally different quality of room, which didn't even have a hair dryer! Food was average. The front desk folks friendly. Bellhops did a nice job of being ready... More

When booking a hotel online for Amman it's hard to know what the total will be. 'Booking' and others sites say a price but you need to add the extra 16% city tax and 10% service fee. So US$50.00 sounds reasonable for a basic hotel but this hotel is def not worth $63/$65.00 Location is far from downtown. The hotel... More
