Reading hostel reviews in Amman can be a very discouraging experience, as you may have realised by this point. I'm glad I chose to stay in Farah hotel because I had a good experience there. This is actually more of a hostel than a hotel. It is located downtown, just minutes walk from the famous Hashem restaurant and 15 minutes... More

Hostel is located in downtown Amman, easy to get around the city. Building needs major renovations, not very clean. Beds and rooms were dusty. Heat did not work in room. Hot water was limited and only available for a few hours in the mornings. Wi-fi is limited as well and if you exceeded the capacity you were cut off. Some... More

I appreciated their help arranging a day tour to the Dead Sea & surroundings for me. They have very fair prices for good tours. Their hospitality and help with this is better than other Amman hotels I dealt with.

Spent about a week in Amman and stayed at Farah. The rooms are quite small but are close to the bathrooms and has comfortable beds. The AC in the room are vital, either to combat the heat or cold, we fought back both in our stay. The breakfast is quite spartan, but still all you need to get up in... More

This place has a hostel-like atmosphere, and this is meant to describe it in a positive light. The host was friendly as can be, very helpful with our plans to briefly visit Israel the next morning, and connected us with a taxi driver who brought us to the Israeli-Jordanian border for a non-outrageous price. If you arrive at night it... More

I recommend the Farah Hotel to anyone who is looking for a cheap, friendly hotel with basic facilities right in the centre of downtown Amman. The service given by reception is outstanding. The staff are welcoming, untiringly friendly and very helpful. They have a very wide knowledge about what to see in Amman, transport available both within and outside Amman... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in November 2014. A good choice as far as hotels in Amman's city centre go. Good location; relatively quiet since it doesn't face any main traffic thoroughfares. The room I stayed in (a private) was pretty solid for a budget option. Only annoyance was the fluorescent light (the only proper light in... More

I choosed this hotel because in LP they had writtien that this might be the only option to get hotel with small garden. For smoker quite nice option. However, since seven (!!) years there is no garden and no roof terasse, so I was a little dissapointed when I got there... However, hotel is well locaded, citadel and roman theatre... More

Dear Sir, Thank you for choosing Farah Hotel and for taking of your time to write us a review. To make things clear to you and to other travelers, as you were told by our receptionist, that was a very old edition of LonelyPlanet guide book and the information should have been changed years ago by their team. As for... More

Great for travellers on a budget as the Farah Hotel offers dorms at a great rate where breakfast is included. The receptionists are really great and do anything for you. If enough people are interested the hotel can arrange day trips to the Eastern dessert castles, Jerash or the Dead Sea. Located in a side street in downtown Amman it... More
