We stayed in this hotel late July/early August for 4 nights. Centrally located in downtown Amman this place has it all for a great price. The room were spacious (we had a private roo with a double bed), clean, hot showers (during certain hours), good breakfast, and fast wifi. The staff were excellent, we set up our tour to Jerash... Hands down. The best place to stay in Amman. Located on Jabal Amman itself, Amman Citadel and Rainbow Street were only minutes away by walking. The staff also helps organize tours according to your personal preference. All in all, I wouldn't have chosen a better place

A great alternative to some of Amman's pricier hotel options but a cut above the bare-bones budget hotels and hostels, the Sydney Hotel was a great experience for us. It has both private (with bath) rooms and hostel-style dorm options. My wife and I stayed on two separate one-night occassions in the private rooms and while the water pressure wasn't... More

I stayed at Sidney Hotel for about 10 days and it was amazing, I met incredible people and was very welcomed by the staff! I reserved the private room and was sufficient for my needs! I hope to come back!

The Sydney Hotel is a 'melting pot of cultures'. A good value for money hotel, it is a great place for budget travelers and backpackers. Located in the bustling 'Downtown' area - the heart of Amman, it is close to and all the major attractions: The Citadel, Roman Theatre, Rainbow street, etc, that can be approached by walk or by... Stayed here twice, both times in the dorm when I first arrived in Jordan and then for a few days before i flew out again. The staff were great, Dia and Tariq gave me loads of advice and help in regards to travel/where to stay/ what to do. I highly recommend it for anybody traveling alone.

My husband and I stayed here in a private room twice on our recent Jordan trip-- once at the beginning, and back again at the end. I can't speak highly enough about the staff-- they let us lounge in the common room for hours on end, answered endless questions, gave great recommendations, and were so friendly and helpful. thank you,... I stayed there 3 nights, in the dorms with shared bathroom. Beds in the dorms are really bad. Is difficult to sleep in a matrass with a hole. when they say that the pick up taxi service is the best option to get the hostel they are lying. The best way and muuuuch cheaper is to get the bus and... More

I am sorry Alejandro that you have not enjoyed your stay with us as you seemed perfectly fine when we were talking with you at that time. If you have told us that there is a problem with the bed, we would have immediately fixed that problem for you. Anyway, the problem is now fixed as the bed was broken... More

We picked the Sydney Hotel primarily for its location within walking distance of most attractions we were interested in. They conveniently arranged to pick us up from the airport and then gave a nice in depth overview of what to see in Amman including a number of good restaurant recommendations nearby. We had a private room which was big enough,... More
