This was the hotel in Amman chosen by Mercury Direct for our Week in Jordan guided tour. We stayed here for 4 nights, 3 nights first on arrival for visiting Amman, Jaresh and the Desert Castles, etc, then returned for one more night from Petra before flying home. Nothing is within walking distance and it is not even safe to... More

Had been to Amman twice, for some business with RBTF. loved the stay, although the staf have little or know english knowledge, they were courteous, there were no alcohol restrictions like the rest of the middle east. the best part was unlike the rest of amman hotels they offer free Wifi, which is critical for our industry. They organized a... More

This hotel was built to a high standard and is located in a reasonably convenient part of downtown-ish Amman. Having said that, it is apparent that even with basic housekeeping under- taken, the rooms and hotel in general are becoming tired, shabby even (typically broken bidet, deposits encrusted in corners of bathroom, dilapidated décor etc), although there's no hint of... The hotel is definitely quite old and also slightly away from the main city. The furnishing and the overall look of the rooms is ancient. The breakfast is minimal ... not a recommendable hotel. The helpful staff was the only positive thing about the hotel.

I stayed there overnight on the 25th of October with a group, the front office staff were very helpful , professional and willing to help. The rooms were not very tidy and you get the feeling of being in deserted old hotel. Bathrooms were not very clean as well. The two meals we had was okay in terms of the... More

Both of us were tired after a long air journey by the time we checked in at Al Fanar Palace. But soon we forgot our tiresome trip and our sleepless previous night. From the reception to the bell boys it was a smooth transfer to an eventful evening. The dinner was great and we had a long 9 hour sleep .... More

The hotel has a very pleasant staff and that counts for a lot. The bed was comfortable. But like many places we saw in Jordan, the rooms are dated and just barely clean. The shower has a curtain that blows against your body while you shower. The elevators were broken on one day of our stay. The breakfast is barely... More

We stayed in this hotel as part of an organised tour. The hotel is clean which is the most important thing. There is internet in the room which is nice. Breakfast is very poor, and it is not very close to the center. But in general, its an ok choice. Some staff were very nice.

The hotel was a transit rest place before going to Palestine. To refresh from long travel from Mauritius via Dubai to Jordan. We stayed two nights. After first night we went to visit Ashaab ul Kahaf and the Dead Sea. After second night we departed to Jerusalem early in the morning. After return from Jerusalem we stayed one additional night...
