I was accommodated here for free by Royal Jordanian while on transit from Paris to Bangkok. Ok the hotel is not 5 star or even 4 star, but the staff did speak English(unlike what a previous poster claimed), and were pleasant. The room was old but NOT dirty and was quite spacious, same thing for the bathroom. The breakfast was huge,... more
It is not even worth it to spend too many words on this Hotel. The staff is rude and arrogant.....and they do not speak English. The Hotel is simply dirty..... Unless you have to stay by the airport...please choose a different destination. more
Got stuck here due to delayed Royal Jordanian flight...worst place I have stayed in. Slept in my clothes to avoid the flithy sheets...almost opt'd not to shower to prevent becoming more dirty...hair all over the room... Avoid at all cost. more
The Golden Tulip Queen Alia Hotel is used as a transit hotel by Royal Jordanian Airways & as such the hotel is awful. To suggest that the hotel is a 4 star beggars belief. Hello folks! We stayed for one night at the Golden Tulip Airport Amman aka. The Alia Hotel ( transition to a Golden Tulip property )! Good beginning we thought!... more

The airport itself is about 30 minutes from Amman city centre, and not that much further from the Dead... more
The best reason to stay at the Alia Hotel is that it is very close to the airport. It's also the only reason to stay here. This is a two star hotel charging five star prices, and it isn't worth it. I stayed here as a result an unplanned overnight layover in Amman. The airport is about 30 km from... more
After getting my bags searched for the hundreth time, i waited outside in the hotel when what can only be described as a 3rd world bus arrived which as well as being filthy had most of the chairs on it unusable due to being damaged, when i got to the 'hotel' i again had my bags checked after waiting for... more
Royal Jordanian Airlines put us up at the Alia Hotel because we flew from Cairo to Amman on April 28, and there was no flight to New York (JFK) until the next morning. Little did we know! When we came to the desk, the employee, as friendly and welcoming as a prison gate, unwelcomed us: "2 double beds or one... more
