I stayed for 9 nights at the Cliff Hotel in Amman and it was by far my favorite hotel in Jordan. We used it as a base to visit all the surrounding area, including Jerash, Ajloun, Madaba and the Dead Sea. The staff at the front desk are very friendly, especially Andrew who always gave us the best tips to... More

Just opposite to the famous Hashem Restaurant in Amman downtown,The Cliff Hotel is the perfect destination for backpackers. Its a very old hotel but it is well maintained.( Although the staircase to the hotel is not clean). The staff were very professional and good English speakers. The best thing to be noted about this hotel is that it provides hot water until... More

We got to Amman with no accommodation at 2am and we were welcomed by Andrew with open arms. Even though we only spent one night they helped us book accommodation in other cities during the rest of our stay, store our luggage on our last day and even rest and use the showers. Extremely helpful. Room was basic and very... More

Cliff Hotel is a perfectly located place to stay. It is near the main attractions and opposite Hashim restaurant, which is the best place to eat but also makes finding Cliff easy because everyone knows where the restaurant is. Aside from location, the rooms are basic but comfortable and so are the facilities. But most important, the people are helpful... More

The cheapest you are going to get in amman. You meet a variety of travellers in the social area. Staff very helpful. The toilets and showers are continually cleaned now, more so than many other hostels I have seen over the world. But its basic and old. Don't expect hotel standards.

The Cliff hotel is the place to go if you want a good backpacker dorm or cheap rooms - the public area is always a nice place to sit and meet people from all over the world - located opposite the best and most cost effective Hummus and falafel in the Middle East, ooh yes! The reception guy is called... More

Central hotel, close to many food snacks ( chawarama, falafel etc..). Great choice for backpackers if you are not an hygiene psycho.. Right above a coffee place for men, so slightly noisy and depending on the room you are in, the street lighting is visible in your room. The main area is a great place to meet the backpackers and... Basic and clean place to stay if you want to keep your budget low - no tp, really old showers. Great beds. Very friendly and warm staff who help without being asked to. Mind that you are in the old town where a lot is going on even during the night which I didn't mind, my girlfriend did though. Various... More

I like this hostel.the reception guy is very nice and helpful. The room is very clean.only for 3 people in Dom. Laundry is expensive and dining room is smoky but it was ok. Shower is hot and Internet in room is fine too.shower is going to be renewed in a month.
