A hotel with some excellent rooms, very spacious, well equipped and clean. Hotel staff very helpful. Still a pretty unpleasant smell always came out of the bathroom, probably to channel deficiency. Missing toilet brush. Pay attention to the taxi drivers who offer to show you the town, almost forced. You will be charged by them 3-4 times more. The food... More

Previous reviews are spot-on. I stayed in two different rooms at the beginning and end of my trip. This place is filthy. Windows, carpets, walls, doors, bed linen, towels, the lot. Broken and noisy air conditioning. Water that leaked all over the bathroom whenever I ran the tap. Broken shower holder. Mould on the bath tub. I could go on... More

I stayed in this hotel for a fortnight at the sixth floor #610. And it isn't that bad as many describe. For me it is comparable to an average Holiday Inn or Ibus in Europe. Food, especcially diner is indeed expensive compared to prices in ordinary fastfood restaurants, the breakfast is typically Jordian. And ladies, I found the bathroom poorly... More

The only redeeming feature was the free wifi access in the lobby. The food was bad, the rooms were gloomy and dirty. The staff was not very helpful. The cutlery was dirty and you had to wipe the plates with a tissue before you ate. There was barely anything to eat for breakfast. Also, you could see the staff walking... More

We stayed at the Region Hotel overnight on our way to Israel on a pilgrimage with a tour group of 45 people. The lobby area was fine with free internet. The floor carpet on the approach to the rooms was dirty, even inside the rooms too. Even the firniture seemd to have seen better days. Toilets could have been a... More

We stayed at the region on the first leg of our religious pilgrimage tour. Two days before we left we were woken by the fire bell... The corridor was filled with smoke so we made our way to the fire exit. The stairs was filled with spare beds. Walking through plastic smelling smoke we made our way to the other... More

Our group stayed at this hotel when we were delayed in Amman due to the volcano in Iceland. The swimming pool referred to in a previous review is now green and full of litter. The view from our room was of a pile of discarded hotel furniture. The lobby was impressive but elsewhere the place was very dirty, especially staircases,... More

We were part of a group of 50 pilgrims from india to israel. The hotel was clean, the lobby very well appointed, with wireless internet in the lobby. the hotel staff were very pleasant, giving us the pool-side area to conduct the evening services. The front office could converse in English but non-English speaking travellers definitely had a problem communicating.... More

My senior citizen mother and I stayed at the Region Hotel in October 2008 on the last leg of a Holyland tour. We arrived by coach from Israel and spent just 1 night at the Region Hotel. We were part of a group of 18 people. This hotel appears to be popular with group tour operators - mainly European. Rooms... More
