Dec 26, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

Four of us stayed here over Christmas 2009. We stayed in a dorm, but since there were 4 of us we had a dorm room to ourselves. While the room was small, it was clean. When we checked out they had lockers we could rent (which even fit a large suitcase!), and we were able to hang out in the... more

I've stayed in this hostel 4-5 nights between 10/07-10/21 and I've had great time. I met lot of nice people and I thought the common room was pretty nice and the kitchen was decent. I stayed in a private which I thought was quite decent, but you can't really expect much out of a hostel. Do not believe a single... more

We booked this place for 2 nights in Tel Aviv at the end of our trip, and while this place definitely has some good points, it wasn't really what we were looking for. If you're a solo traveler, this may be a good option since there are loads of opportunities to meet people. However, it you want a bit of... more

Cant say i have as strongly negative feelings as many people on here. the good points are its location to the beach, cheap, and big lockers available. The room i had was clean, and it had TV and air con and the bathroom was fine. The breakfast was terrible, just a loaf of bread and a wedge of jam for... more

Wow! Lonely Planet recommended this place and now I'm never going to purchase another Lonely Planet. The absolute worst. The staff was combative and unhelpful. The rooms were tiny (I know it's a hostel but the rooms were really tiny). Worst of all was the noise: I was travelling in a small group and we rented a private 4-person room,... more

I stayed in Hayarkon 48 for one night on a weekend in August. I had booked it because I needed a place to leave my luggage and to sleep for some hours before going to the airport. The Lonely Planet had recommended the Hayarkon 48 as "one of the best hostels in Israel". When I arrived, I was very disappointed... more

It was the worse hostel that I have ever been to. Very rude front desk receptionist. I would have got more respect in jail than that place. dirty old rooms more

I just showed up at this place in the middle of the night after flying in and they had a room. It was my first hostel experience actually and I really liked it. The place was clean and organized, the price is cheap for a/c shared rooms. The community area downstairs is nice with a huge tv and a kitchen... more

we found the staff to be incredibly rude. there was a cockroach infestation in the rooms. and to top it off they overcharged us when we left (transferring to sky hostel which was actually very good). we protested calmly but got shouted and screamed at! it sounds unbelievable- we're customers! my friends and i were on holiday so we paid... more
