There is no way to imagine a hotel more poorly run than The Kfar Hamacabia. We picked the hotel because we wanted somewhere close to town, but outside of the hustle and bustle of Tel Aviv. When we arrived, the put us in a room that they promised was non-smoking; you could smell the smoke from the elevator. When we... more

Was appalled at the lack of warmth from the staff, in fact, found them snooty and unfriendly. more

We went to the hotel for a party and stayed over the weekend. The hotel and its rooms are very nice but it needs it to make up for the lack of good food and staff that is just plain mean. It is next to the Maccabiah sports centre and we had acces to all of its services including 4... more

I booked Kfar Maccabiah based on its proximity to my home in Tel Aviv as I wanted a weekend break but didn’t have time to travel far. It was definitely a serendipitous find. The newly renovated hotel impresses from the first with the stylish layout of the reception and lobby area. The staff is extremely smartly turned out and very... more

Stayed at the Kfar Maccabiah for 3 nights in July. There was a large group of teenagers staying there and they were loud till late at night. The front dest was indifferent, and the group's leaders were powerless. The rooms were 1970's style. The tv was fine and the air conditioning worked well. There is a lot to do on... more

Front desk very pleasant. Chose to stay at Kfar Maccabiah because of its close proximity to the airport. Very convenient. No bellhop to assist with luggage and had to drag suitcases from parking lot - not a small distance. Elevator very small. Room decor very dated and not well maintained. Bathrooms clean. Rooms clean overall. Breakfast was very nice -... more

The only drawback to this place is it's out of the way from everything (but only 10-15 minutes to the airport). Other than that, it's great. It's like it's own little compound, very secure, very nice. Rooms were nice, service and staff were EXCELLENT, and there was an abundance of activities-exercise, aerobics, jacuzzis, indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts, basketball... more
