We have stayed here 5 times since 2001 and always enjoyed it. Rooms are good size and staff were very helpful, including cleaning.staff, although interaction eith them was more difficult as most did not speak English. Particularly like new breakfast room on the water, and food was delicious, both at breakfast and when we ate lunch at the hotel. We... more

This was my 3rd stay at Carlton in 5 years. They have just completed a major reconstrcution of the entrance and lobby, so that one enters the hotel on a drive-in court with a view of the Sea and a park, instead of the previous entrance off a noisy street and dingy underpass. This is a vast improvement and facilitates... more

We arrived at the Carlton after a 10-hour flight from Newark and an half-hour taxi ride and were welcomed "with open arms." I'm used to small rooms in European hotels but the Carlton is much more like a typical US hotel -- the rooms are spacious and well-furnished. There was even a king-sized bed which, when one's travel companion is... more

I stayed here three nights in July 2009 with my three kids. I booked the room from the US on hotels.com and got a great rate. The hotel is right on the beach, and a short walk on the boardwalk south of the Namal (old port area) with it's shopping and restaurants. My kids loved having the gelateria right outside... more

Welcoming hotel with friendly staff. Our room had a gorgeous view of the Sea. Unfortunately, our luggage was lost for 2 day, but the staff gave us tee shirts to sleep in and robes so we could comfortable take off the clothes that we would be wearing for 3 days in a row! Best lemonade we've ever tasted in the... more

I met my daughter here who was working for an Israeli newspaper. We usually stay at 5-star hotels (Four Seasons,Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula) and have travelled all over the world. We loved The Carlton. It is a hotel which is right on the beach and has an amazing breakfast buffet that you dine on looking over the sea. It is low-key... more

Beautiful hotel. I have stayed here over a dozen times with work over the past 12months. The rooms are fantastic. Big comfy beds and we are lucky always with a view over the sea. Sat TV. Rooms are very clean. Small pool area with gym and massage rooms on the top of the hotel. Great location within 2mins to the... more
