This is a convenient and basic quiet hotel with the kind of support you'd get from a family. It is situated just inside the Damascus Gate and none of the major Old City sites are less than a ten minute walk away. A simple breakfast is provided on the rooftop deck that overlooks the Rock and the Mount of Olives.... more

It's an old hotel, not the best, but a great location for people who wants to pray, very nice view from the roof of the hotel, and I think it's the only one in the old city .. more

If you're looking for character, great staff, great location, and an experience, come to the Hashimi Hotel. But be warned -- it is more hostel than hotel and the rooms vary quite a bit in terms of quality, quiet, cleanliness, and bathroom facilities. My room was incredibly loud, the shower didn't work properly, there was a tube/hole that went outside... more

Hashimi hotel is a very basic hostel type environment. I found it to be pretty unfriendly but adequate for my needs. I also found it a little expensive, mind you everything in Israel is expensive. I paid £60 per night for a room which is ok, no aircon, phone or tv just bed and wardrobe and bathroom. It has 2... more

A short walk from Damascus Gate, through the hustle and bustle of the souk's and bazaars leads you to the Hashimi Hotel, where Saleh and his brothers will tend to your requirements in a honest, friendly manner. The view from the rooms and the rooftop terrace is phoenomenal, you can see the city scape including an awesome view of The... more

We stayed in the hotel with my wife and several other friends. The hotel is opening to one of the main streets in the Old Town of Jerusalem, although all streets are narrow in the Old Town. We arrived to the hotel late but the staff was very kind with us - not only on that day but throughout the... more

The rooms are small but simple and clean. The hotel staff were very helpful protective, kind, gentle and friendly. The Hashimi Hotel is the only hotel in the "heart" of the Old City of Jerusalem. It has modern interior features, marble floors, stairs and railings. The hotel boasts a beautiful roof top terrace with magnificent views of the old city... more

I booked my room through a hotel website. To be absolutely safe I also contacted the Hashimi directly to get a confirmation. They confirmed my reservation so everything looked good. Even so, when I arrived they had some trouble finding my reservation for a single room and had to give me a 6 bed room (3 bunkbeds). It had a... more
