We wanted somewhere within walking distance for Old Jerusalem and close to restaurants/bars...Alon Hotel was perfect! We were warmly greeted by Emma on arrival and she gave us leaflets showing us popular tours and a map of the city, she highlighted the main areas for us. We could enter and exit the secure building with ease... We literally used the... More

It is a great hotel for travellers who do not require 24hrs reception. It is a small hotel and sometimes no one is in the office. We reached the hotel too early and the room was not ready. Nevertheless, we were allowed to leave our luggage there to go for our tours. Very friendly and helpful staff. It is in... More

For a 2 or 3 star hotel, the Alon Hotel was nice. I only stayed for one night, but the room was quite large and extremely convenient to everything. The room wasn't the cleanest that I've been in, but the towels and linens were clean, so that's all I really needed. Reception was very helpful, by making a reservation with... More

Very nice, clean, kitchenette, balcony, nice staff, superb location. You could make breakfast here or run out to adjacent Ben Yehuda for food. Very safe at night. Relatively quiet for location. Bed very comfortable, bathroom clean and spacious

It's a good place to stay in Jerusalem, about 15-20 minutes walk from the old center but close to the restaurants and shops. Don't wait for modern and big hotel in usual thinking. It's a small family hotel in an old building with several rooms. Street is silent, so if your windows looks to the street it's quite there. The... More

Overall, this was a dreadful experience. When we first arrived the front door of the hotel was locked but an attendant in the shop next door gave us the entry code. There is no elevator in the building so we dragged our luggage up to the reception desk. The young lady at the desk was friendly and helpful and is... More

Great location (2 min from night life, 10 min from center). Budget rooms but with all you need for a pleasant homey stay. The reception is not 24/7 (only during the day) but there is somebody there during the day and the staff is generally very nice.

It is important to understand what the Alon is and what it is not. Alon is not a full-service hotel. There is no front desk, no concierge, no restaurant or bar or housekeeping service that is present at all hours. Alon is small studio "apartments". They each have a simple, though poorly-equipped kitchenette. They are very simple in their decor... More

Staff is nice and helpful. Plase is ok. But do not rent 102 room. There is something awfully noisy outside, and in some places of room you could even feel vibration. It's hard to sleep there. Also there were some ants in one part of the room. We haven't put any food there, so it was strange to see them.

We stayed here 4 interminable nights. Upon entering the room I thought, "well, it's plain, not pretty, but I don't need anything fancy as long as it's clean." As soon as I took my shoes off the floor just felt kind of clammy/sticky, as if it had not been cleaned or maybe mopped with water that was too dirty. The... More

Dear Queasy Yak, We must have terribly disappointed you, and for that I am very sorry. It is a pity though, that we got your complains indirect and only after you left. Our staff is in the hotel taking close care of guests requests and satisfaction. Unfortunately we did not hear, neither from you nor from your husband, anything during... More
