Stayed here three nights Christmas 2015, 26 - 29 December 2015. The Guest House is owned by the Lutheran Church of Germany. This is truly an oasis in the heart of the Old Town Jerusalem, not far from where the main action is (everything that matters is within 10-20mins walking distance, including the amazing Wailing Wall). Also, this street is,... More

For us the main enjoyment of staying here was looking out to old Jerusalem from our balcony room and looking straight at Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Surreal being able to see this at night from our bed. We often slept at night with the balcony doors open and wake to the sounds of old Jerusalem. The negative was the... More

In an old building, the small comfortable rooms and a good breakfast make this a great place to enjoy Old Jerusalem. We stayed in room 238 with a view to the Holy Sepulchre and at the end of the corridor a balcony has great views to the Temple Mount. We enjoyed a lot our stay and the rates are very... More

We spent 3 nights here in November 2014. It was close to many of the sites we visited in the Old City of Jerusalem and within easy walking distance. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. My husband has a back issue which made the mattress in our room very uncomfortable to him. He spent the first night on the... More

We had a very pleasant stay in this quiet oasis in the middle of the old town of Jerusalem. This guesthouse is a really good location to stay in Jerusalem, a few minutes walk from the Church of the Holy Sepulcre and inmidst the labirith of the narrow streets of an exotic bazaar. This is so much more interesting than... More

Authentic guest house in the old town. The interior yards are wonderful and the views from the roof terrace are stunning; in the night as well as in the early morning. We booked a triple room but actually ended up in a four bedded room which was huge. Bathroom could use an upgrade but we stayed only for one night,... More

I had a real single room, with a small bed, so it was excellent value. It didn't have a view, but the public areas do, as noted by other contributors. The garden/bar area is pleasant, although wine by the glass was not very generous. Breakfast was quite good: I am an early riser so the selection was fine. Coffee not... More

Very cozy and nice place with garden where you can take the coffe and a panorami lookong over the old city. Staff really helpful, clean room, good and generous breakfast. I stayed there for about 10 days and was great, thank you.

My wife and I were there for a week in early May of this year. I had read positive reviews on both Trip Advisor and Virtual Tourist and will say without reservation that St Marks lived up to or exceeded everything positive that I had read in the way of reviews. Architecturally the guest house is constructed entirely of limestone... More
