This is a nice little place in the Old City. The only negative thing is that it is a bit difficult to find located on the side street, St. Mark's Road. Enter Jaffa Gate and follow David Street downhill, then take second right. The rooms are very basic in this old, but very clean structure. Evenings can be very pleasant... More

This lodging boasts a great location, right in the Old City, near the Jaffa Gate. It's clean, offers terrific common areas, has fabulous views, provides a great breakfast. We highly recommend this B&B.

Can truly recommend to stay, in case the plan is to wonder in the Old Town and don't need luxury. Rooms are nothing special, yet clean and decent. The terrace has nice view over the Old Town. The staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was quite good, enough options to choose from.

We travelled with a pilgrim's group in November 2014 and stayed at this pilgrim's place. The plus points : unique location, clean small rooms, a good breakfast, fabulous, unique views from the upper terrace and the upper corridor. Remember : as it is a pilgrim's hotel, there is no TV. The minus points : I found that receptionists were not... More

You just cannot find a better guest house location than this one. Although the property is quite large the rooms are on the small side but still offer the basic boarding requirements. It is very clean and the overall atmosphere is of peace and tranquility. Beautiful views from the top floor and a nice outside garden. Breakfast and dinner basic... More

I really wanted to rate this property as a five but didn't want to mislead potential guests. On the down side the accommodations are definitely on the level of a dormitory. My single room was very small with very basic furnishings. The biggest problem was the smell which may have to do with old plumbing and came and went. That... More

Perfect spot in the old city of Jerusalem. We spent each evening, on the expansive roof top deck, listening to the church bells and the call to prayers, whilst having a glass of wine. The view of the city cannot be beat. The rooms are large, we could have had a room on the upper floors, with the view, but... More

This was an excellent place to stay in the Old City. Our room, on the second floor, was small but quite nice with a small balcony from which to look out on the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and other sites. Breakfast each morning was in a very pleasant setting and included eggs, sausage, fruit, meats, olives, coffee, and a... More

I've stayed in Jerusalem and East Jerusalem before but this is hands down my favorite place to stay now. The guest house entrance is located on a quiet side street running from David Street, quickly accessed from the Jaffa Gate. Stepping inside the guest house's lobby was like stepping into a pool of quiet. All of the staff were super... More

The Lutheran Guest House is a nice place inside the Old City gates from which to explore. While the rooms and bathrooms are somewhat small, the locale makes up for it. Each morning, you are literally minutes from the most interesting and historic sites. Plus, you can take a break in the afternoon, return to your room, relax, and enjoy... More
