I had booked Montefiore Hotel and a few days before departure I got sick. I could stay then only 1 night instead of 3 . The policy of the hotel was that I should pay full price because of last minute notice. I called the hotel and they accepted to not charge the first 2 nights although they might do... More

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Montefiore thanks in part to the kind hotel staff. The location is quite good. It is an easy walk to pedestrian shopping (Ben Yehuda, Mamilla, etc) and to the Old City. We even trekked over to the Israel Museum. There's a convenience store right across the street (bottled water) and a number of... More

We recently spent a week at the Montefiore. I was shocked when I first arrived--the rooms were small, the decor tired, the lobby furniture worn and the marble floor in the elevator cracked--but it was very clean and quiet, and on a lovely pedestrian block with a great outdoor cafe, a fabulous wineshop and one minute to a cab or... The hotel is situated in the perfect place, right near the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall. The hotel is on street closed to traffic. I stayed here for 11 nights at the end of January. Easy access to the whole city. The front desk staff is very helpful. The lobby is tastefully done, but the rooms are very basic. No toiletries... More

If you need just a place to sleep, it is OK, but you should be able to do better. Booked four nights in this hotel at the end of March 2010. The first night I was given a room on 7th floor. The room was unfurnished, small, noisy, with unclean bathroom. Was moved to a different room on 2nd floor.... More

The Hotel Montefiore is just ok; nothing special. The location is good with relatively short walks to various points of interest, and it is on a no traffic street, so it is fairly quiet. It was unseasonably warm during our stay and the air-conditioning is off for the winter. They gave us a fan which was better than nothing. The... More

Clean, comfortable and very pleasant. Breakfast a lot better than I expected after checking here before traveling. Amazing location, easy walking distance to Old City and right next to Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall. Surprisingly quiet, given the location at the center of the action.

My husband and I stayed at the Montefiore for 10 days and we had an excellent experiene. The rooms are small but clean. The beds are very comfortable which is not usual for many hotels. The staff are outstanding. They are friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a comfortable and pleasant one.... More

The hotel is situated on a quiet side-street next to the old Knesset building and a couple of blocks away from the Ben Yehuda shopping street. It is a 15-minute walk to Yafo party street and a 20-minute walk to the Old City. It's a basic hotel with clean, normal-sized rooms (normal for Israel). The service is fine. The conference... More

I picked the Montefiore Hotel based on recommendations from both TripAdvisor and Expedia. The hotel is very basic but is clean, includes breakfast, is in a good location, and has free WiFi. On the downside, the breakfast is just so-so but there's a small cafe across the street with good coffee and pastry. I'd stay here again even though there... More
