We were working in Bethlehem for a charity and spent two weekends at the Guesthouse for a break. On each occasion the staff were outstanding in their attentiveness. On the second weekend the reception staff carried our heavy suitcases up 51 stairs to the tower room. The breakfast/brunch is very good too, and the atmosphere is a welcome calm from... more

The Scottish Guest house is an ideal location for tourists in Jerusalem to explore the Old City. The Guest House is located on a hill overlooking the old city and is an easy 10 minute walk to the Jaffa Gate. Staying outisde, but in close proximity to, the Old City eliminates a great deal noise, dirt, and hassle (for example,... more

We Stayed in a room wih a view overlooking the old city walls. Basic but very comfortable and cosy. We loved the complementary tea and coffee served in the lounge, with a wide library, and the laptop availabla for the use of the guests (very convenient for light travelers). In addition to the mentioned above, staff were very helpful and friendly.... more

We visited St. Andrew's guest house for a few days and were very satisfied. The location is very central and the view especially in the evening and at night is excellent. The service and the food was outstanding. All the staff of guest house was always ready to help at any time of the day as well at odd hours.... more

We selected St. Andrew's Scottish Guesthouse based on the number of positive reviews but we had a horrible experience. We checked in on September 6th for three nights and were assigned room 218 which is on the ground floor directly behind the reception office. The bedroom had NO windows at all and the bathroom had a window that we kept... more

Our family of five (two parents and 3 teenaged boys) all greatly enjoyed our stay. We reserved the apartment which had two bedrooms, two large couchs and a fabulous terrace that overlooked the Old City. Breakfast was well done, and the hotel is an easy walk to wonderful restaurants and the Jaffa Gate. We will definitely stay here again! more

With all the experiences we had in Jerusalem, The Scottish House is at the top. Ramzi, Ibrahim, David and everyone there will help make your stay and daily activities an effortless joy. Leave your window open and the birds will wake you in time to watch the sun rise and easily make it to breakfast. This is an event you... more

I stay at the Scottish guesthouse every time I come to Jerusalem (been there more than 10 times) and it has always been great. The rooms are simple- it's a guesthouse- but most are spacious and some are really lovely. Breakfast has great choice of food. Public areas old fashioned with unique atmosphere. The rooms with the view looks toward... more

Quite different from the typical hotel, in that it is an old building directly attached to a "Scottish" church. The staff seem to be Christian Palestinians. Rooms are spacious enough, have aircon and have a private bathroom. There is good storage space and coffee + tea making facilities. Hot water, for showers, does take a while to arrive, but it... more

St Andrew's Scottish Guest house is a clean, simple guest house in a central location in Jerusalem. It is within around 5 mins walk of the King David hotel, and 10-15 mins walk from Jaffa gate. It has wonderful views of the Old City and Mount Zion across the valley. The rooms are basic but comfortable, they all have ensuite... more
