The hotel is far from the action and in a bad part of town so you can't go outside safely at night. It is filled with tour groups so it is always big groups hanging around. You have to pay to get wifi in the room.breakfast has lots of choices.

Very accommodating to large tour groups. Rooms spacious, clean, impressive. My only wish was that the blow drier had higher wattage. Many choices for the breakfast and dinner buffet, presented banquet style- however I found that the foods were too spicy for my taste- The soups were delicious. Stayed her for 3 nights ; our final hotel during our 10... More

We stayed 5 nights (bailing our tour for 2 nights at another hotel) with a tour group. The hotel is OK. It caters to bus tours. However, the staff deserves five stars for their service. The cleanliness of the place could be better. I dusted our room when we arrived. The bathroom floor was never really scrubbed. Wash cloths were... More

Olive Tree was the last hotel I stayed at during a tour through the Holy Land. It was by far the biggest, too. Excellent meals with plenty of choices. Nice lobby/lounge area with a bar and free wifi. Very close to the Old City and the Garden Tomb. My room was on Floor 7, at the very far end of... More

This was a quiet hotel although busy with tour groups. The meals were fantastic. I traveled with people who needed gluten free diets and the maitre d' made extra special efforts to keep them happy. The rooms were comfortable but needed some repairs (loose toilet seat, loose bar on tub). Beds were comfortable.

very small rooms but clean, well decorated with amenities. Food was excellent and bar area beautiful. No internet in the rooms but available in the lobby. You may purchase internet for the rooms but it is pricey.

When we stayed at the Olive Tree in September 2010 and our room had bedbugs. Yes, we were moved to another room and the hotel did laundry our clothing. Thanks GOODNESS! No bedbugs in 2014! I had worried about staying there again in 2014 but the stay was great and we had no problems.

I don't know how you could get much closer to the Old City of Jerusalem without spending a fortune! We are here with 4 girls and are very comfortable in a connecting room! We either walk to the Old City (about 15 minutes if you prefer the New Gate, like we do.) We've also taken the light rail several times.... More
