St George's Cathedral Guest House is an oasis amidst the trials and tribulations of Jerusalem. The kindness of the staff, the peaceful garden, and the generous and well kept spaces in the guest rooms serve as a perfect detox from long days touring the sites or from the constant news of strife from the occupied territories. I cannot thank the... More

This is an extremely well-located place to stay if your desire is to visit the Old City, as it's less than a 10 minute walk from Damascus Gate. The rooms are comfy and air conditioned (!), and the building itself is quite beautiful, as well as the courtyard! The breakfast in the morning also kept me going throughout the day.... More

This is a very well-located guest house which is part of the Anglican cathedral. The rooms vary, but mine was very nice. The bed was comfy and everything was super-clean. The staff were all great. Breakfast was good (lots of choices) and we really enjoyed a glass of wine in the beautiful gardens after a hot day of sightseeing. It... More

Excellent and very climatic place - guesthouse own by Anglican Church, next to Cathedral. Staff is very helpful and extremely friendly, as well as maganer, who is trying to resolve any problem, if occurs. Guesthouse has beautiful garden with trees, fountain. Wifi works very well. Rooms are decent although VERY climatic and extremely clean. You can feel like you're living... More

I had read many favorable reviews. Unfortunately, I cannot echo them. The possibilities are tremendous, but they do not achieve the possible. I had a 2-night stay. I offer highest praise for the grounds (the Cathedral is a wonderful place to pray and meditate) and the courtyard. The flowers and trees are magnificent, they have adequate Wi-Fi, and they do... An ideal place to stay for a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. As a female solo traveller I my main concern was a safe location and a place being walkable to the old city, this guest house delivers on both. Connected to the cathedral it is a beautiful sanctuary of peace, a perfect place to rest and reflect on all the sites... More

This is a very interesting guesthouse attached to an Anglican cathedral. Beautiful grounds, able staff, very good location (walking distance from the Damascus gate) and OK breakfast. Free parking. Interesting guests (including local Christians) It is a 5-star rating candidate. However, our room was so bad, that it took 2 stars off the final rating. First of all, I selected... More

This is the best place for pilgrims visiting Jerusalem. It is a beautiful property, wonderful staff, the food is good, a quick walk to the Old City. It is very safe. The staff is very helpful. It is a wonderful place to call "home" while visiting here.

Only two or three years ago I was recommending a few religious hospices inside the old city of Jerusalem. However, it seems that these hospices are taking advantage of their superb location and prices have skyrocketed. This time we stayed four nights at St. George’s which is a comfortable 5-10 minute walk to the Damascus gate, 5 min to the... More

The addition of a Bistro in the evenings completes the package. You no longer have to venture out of this extremely safe compound for dinner and/or a drink! The new manager, Honey Burke, welcomes each guest and immediately makes you feel at home. The staff go out of their way to accommodate any request. The gardens could not be more... More
