It took us ages to find the hotel and even taxi drivers seemed a bit lost to help us out but we did in the end and being in the heart of Jerusalem makes it fun to stay in. Tidy room and friendly staff members made this stay a memorable one and hopefully will be back

Perfectly located in downtown Jerusalem. Short walk to old city. Room basic but clean. Bar downstairs is noisy BUT quiet down at midnight. Would return but with earplugs........................... Nice basic breakfast.

Enter hotel: smelly filthy carpets all the way up the 2 flights of stairs (no elevator) where the reception is. Walk up 2 more flights of stairs enter room: broken tiles, broken sink. AND quite a stink: supposedly a non smoking room - but really camouflaged old smoke stench. Moldy shower curtain. 2 tiny towels. No mat to step on.... More

It's hard to get anything of value in Israel - everything seems overpriced for the quality compared with just about any other destination. We stayed initially at Sephardic House (see my review) which was overpriced and poor quality and value and then spent a fair bit of time walking the streets of Jerusalem outside of the Old City sightseeing and... My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one night to avoid returning to our ship at Ashdod port while on a two day visit in early April 2015. We needed an inexpensive hotel near the old city and this one fitted the bill. The hotel has a very attractive appearance from the outside and is above a restaurant... More

We spent three nights at this hotel, changing three bedrooms, but each one was disappointing. The location is the only advantage of this hotel: a short walk from the old town, close to the tramway. The rest is to forget! No elevator, but nobody helps you to carry your luggage in the room (on the second or third floor;) at... More

Depending on your expectations and level of comfort this hotel may get all from 1 to 5 stars. My expectations were low and all i want is a fairly clean and quiet room with no bugs. There were no bugs. Considering we were only visiting Jerusalem for a brief 2 day stay to see the main attractions, we picked this... More

It was fine for what I needed (somewhere to sleep). The wifi only worked in the lobby, which was irritating. The breakfast was a little disappointing, with very little selection. Not having a secure room to store my cases is a big minus, as was the lack of an elevator and very steep stairs. The location was good, but the... More

You couldn't be in a better location - Zion is central for getting to the Old City and for exploring the rest of Jerusalem. BUT - it's a very basic hotel, it doesn't pretend otherwise and it's very cheap. Points to note: - No elevator - stairs are steep and narrow - carrying luggage up is hard work (no help... More
