Ramat Rachel kibbutz used to be rural -out of town- and this was the idea of this hotel years ago. town expanding made this kibbutz to become almost neighborhood here comes a big BUT - the kibbutz character & nature of tranquility, calmness and all green inspires one to forget the town and feel in a nature preserve. food, service,... wonderful place to spend a day. The 3 pools are lovely and lots of grass around them.An excellent pool for young children. Also good cafe, although it doesn't have a kashrut licence. price for entry if you're not staying at teh hotel, however, is very high ie 75shekels for an adult. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Ramat Rahel is a great resort if you need some space but still want to be close to Jerusalem. It's a 20 min bus journey from the city centre (number 7 stops right outside) or a 15 min cab ride (about 40-50 shekels). It's part of a kibbutz although you won't really know it unless you go exploring the kibbutz... More

Stayed here for four days. The room was lovely, large and comfortable with a view towards Bethlehem. Breakfast is self service buffet style, and very good. They host groups doing Orientation trips and these can be quite loud. So it can make the lounge a bit less attractive. A big advantage is that the hotel is at the terminus of... More

The hotel is easily accessible by bus from the center of town but far enough away from the center to give one a feel of being out in the country. There did not seem to be any shopping opportunities [aside from the hotel shop] anywhere right near the hotel. The hotel was surprisingly nice and accommodating (last minute reservation for... More

Hotel room was comfortable & there was a even an underground shelter to withstand Atomic Bomb blast. The shelter was like a bank vault. Food spread from Breakfast to Dinner were good.Staff were friendly & self service on Sabbath day as it was a rest day for staff. There was a pool in the next building & a beautiful gym... More

My sister and I spent the entire Passover holiday at Kibbutz Hotel Ramat Rachel. It's been more than 50 years since I spent a Passover at a hotel and have ugly memories of it, so I didn't expect this Passover to be much better. Boy, was I surprised! It was truly AWESOME! The staff at Hotel Ramat Rachel must have... More

We came to ramat Rachel on Saturday with kids. The room was not ready until 9:30. I understand that it is Shabbat but isn't check out at 10:30 AM? Shabbat was done at 7:30. The room should have been ready earlier. Other than that breakfast was good rooms were so so. I would probably not stay again unless my family... More

Ramat Rachel Hotel, which is part of the kibbutz of the same name, is a country like resort in proximity to Jerusalem. We could see the pool and water facilities from our window, even though we didn't use it since the weather wasn't that warm (also not sure that it's open yet). the surroundings are very green, and from them is...
