we stayed 3 nights at Ramat Rachel with our tour group. Our room was comfortable, clean, and large. Furnishings looked new. The food was excellent at each meal. We enjoyed walking to a very nearby archeological site, as well as to a monument "The Olive Trees" near the property. Can easily catch the #7 bus right in front of RR... More

While spending 5 weeks in Israel on a program, we stayed at Ramat Rachel for 13 nights. The service was great and our room was cleaned every day. The room was spacious. The food overall was decent and the facilities at our disposal made it that much better. I always found myself saying "I can't wait to go back to... More

I stayed at this hotel for a bar mitzvah. I loved that it was a little more off the beaten path compared to the other larger Jerusalem hotels. It had a charming Israel in the 1970s feel to it. The room was comfortable but not luxurious. The pool was large but crowded. The food was excellent. One feature of this... More

Polite friendly and warm - three words to describe the hotel. The breakfast is great. This is a little far - so you'll need a car This is a great stop over for Bethlehem if you are interested in visiting

If you are searching for a hotel in Jerusalem be sure to check out Ramat Rachel. It is a little outside of the city but still in comfortable distant to the Old City and shopping areas. We used public transit almost everyday after our regular tour to visit and explore the city. It was very convenient to hop on bus... More

The us who do not facilities were superior. IT was clean and neat. The Israeli breakfast was well above average. The staff was accommodating and acted quickly to respond to issues. I have only 2 minor negative comments: 1) There should be a business center with computers for those of us who do not carry a laptop. 2) There has... More

Ramat Rachel kibbutz used to be rural -out of town- and this was the idea of this hotel years ago. town expanding made this kibbutz to become almost neighborhood here comes a big BUT - the kibbutz character & nature of tranquility, calmness and all green inspires one to forget the town and feel in a nature preserve. food, service,... wonderful place to spend a day. The 3 pools are lovely and lots of grass around them.An excellent pool for young children. Also good cafe, although it doesn't have a kashrut licence. price for entry if you're not staying at teh hotel, however, is very high ie 75shekels for an adult. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Ramat Rahel is a great resort if you need some space but still want to be close to Jerusalem. It's a 20 min bus journey from the city centre (number 7 stops right outside) or a 15 min cab ride (about 40-50 shekels). It's part of a kibbutz although you won't really know it unless you go exploring the kibbutz... More

Stayed here for four days. The room was lovely, large and comfortable with a view towards Bethlehem. Breakfast is self service buffet style, and very good. They host groups doing Orientation trips and these can be quite loud. So it can make the lounge a bit less attractive. A big advantage is that the hotel is at the terminus of... More
