Yes, we were there in August which is high season, as the PR lady told us 4 times on our 3rd and last day, when she asked about our stay. But that doesn't change the fact that the hotel books way over it's abilitles and facilities. The pool is VERY small. In the afternoon the pool is not very inviting... More

Dear Yael E Dear Yael Thank you for your comments which we took to our consideration. Since it's the summer vacation all over the world and in Israel as well, most of the hotels (including ours) are fully booked with families and children, mainly in the second part of August. The hotel staff is doing its best to keep all... More

We had a most enjoyable weekend in Dan hotel in Jerusalem. The food was superb and diverse (even for vegetarians). The staff was kind and helpful. The old city makes for a lovely view from the hotel. Etty Shpielberg

I stayed at the Dan Jerusalem (formerly the Hyatt) from Aug. 7th – Aug 14th. We got in late (8:00 – 8:30 P.M.) on the Shabbat (Friday evening) so room selections was slim picking and we were initially not able to get a Jerusalem view (which is what you are aiming for) with the bed size we wanted. We were... More

I have now returned to this hotel with my family for a number of reasons: 1. The price is still excellent for a decent hotel in Jerusalem. Yes there are some hotels eg the Waldorf Astoria (which does not have an outdoor pool, which is pretty useless for the summer with or without kids), the citadel ( where the outdoor... More

So where do I start! This was my 5th time in Jerusalem. This time round with more family and friends since we had planed my son's bar mitzvah at the Kotel! We were 3 families and had booked 3 rooms. I wish we had stayed with rest of the family who were staying on Ben Hillel Street! We were on... More

We have stayed in Dan hotels on other travels. This time we were with a travel group on a Holy Lands Tour. This one is away from the city center and very near Jerusalem University. If you want to get into the city center you have to take the tram. The closest shopping is at the top of the hill... More

Stayed here for the first time. It is an excellent hotel. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Good sized bathroom, easy to get ready in. Big difference between "regular" rooms and upgraded rooms, both in size and amenities. (We traveled with a group so I got to see an upgraded room.) Front desk personnel were very polite and very,... My wife and I came back to the hotel for a two nights vacation. We found the place unchanged from last time. The room we got had no view, but we knew that from the reservation. It was comfortable, but in need for renovation. There is no possibility to control the air condition, the hair dryer is old fashioned and... More

We spent a really enjoyable weekend at this hotel. One of the main considerations was the free parking which is at a premium in Jerusalem. Getting into the centre is not a problem owing to the nearby light rail. There is a wonderful view of the whole city from the hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff throughout the... More
