Had the dish of the day - Mansaf. Lamb, rice, nuts and fermented yoghurt. Totally delicious and authentic Jordanian/Palestinian cuisine. Friendly and efficient service. Definitely worth a detour! (People say good things about the hotel rooms too, but I haven't stayed yet.)

After sampling some other hotels in Jerusalem, I'm going back to the Ambassador for good. The staff take pride in their work. No cutting corners. They're friendly, eager to welcome you, and remember your name even year after year. Food is some of the best in East Jerusalem. The breakfast spread is plentiful. And a simple bowl of lentil soup... We stayed in this hotel for an extended period of time and have little to no complaints. The rooms are comfortable, with a patio, nice size bathroom and great cleaning staff. The staff in the reception area and restaurant are great. The food was never disappointing with some of the best hummus we had. Great location and reasonable prices. I... More

We were here as part of a pilgrimage group, and found that the Ambassador Hotel, situated towards the north of the city, served our purposes well. Rooms were clean and had the amenities one would expect in an upmarket hotel. Staff were helpful – on arrival, our room did not have a fridge, but one was supplied early the next... More

On arrival the reception was friendly and check-in was efficient. The rooms are of a good size and bathroom has all the required essentials. All staff were courteous and friendly. I would be happy to return in the future.

Good hotel in good location. Caters to large tours, but still manages to have high quality food and reasonable service. Room was excellent. Bar area is a bit small, but lobby was still inviting. The hotel was clean and well kept. We would stay again.

Spent four nights at the Ambassador on a business visit. This is a good quality hotel in East Jerusalem, reasonably well located, although the walk to the old city would be a bit of a trek, especially In the sort of temperatures we were experiencing. The foyer is impressive, with lots of shiny marble. Check-in was swift, friendly and efficient.... More

This is a great hotel but not close to the city. It's easy and inexpensive to get a cab but if you want to get there quick or are tired it's quite a long walk. The rooms are small with tiny windows but it's no big deal if you're planning on only sleeping there and visiting the city during the... More
