This trip was with my spouse and several friends. My husband and I always stay at the Jerusalem Gold Hotel and this is for several reasons. First on the list is that the owner, Ariela Doron, works hard at making each guest feel welcomed and very special. She tries to accommodate every request so that guests feel as comfortable as... When my wife and I arrived at the Jerusalem Gold Hotel I was very ill and the staff took care of me by allowing me into my room before check in time. I was taken care of with chicken soup and treated with the utmost care. Hillel and others in the dinning room were very compassionate and attentive. We had... More

Hotel is far from Old City. Restaurant where breakfast is serverd is dirty. Parking is very limited, but available at a charge. Rooms were ok. Staff is unhelpful and unwilling to help.

Very convenient, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, perfect management. Best possible -place - 30 minutes walk (5 minutes drive) to the old city, 30 minutes to the airport, 1 (one) minute to thr central bus station.

It all looks great, all new, and clean. But it's not as highclass as shown on the website. And it is waaay too expensive for what it offers. The worse part is the staff, very far from wellcoming and "at your disposal". Actually they never answered my greetings :) However, it was the same all over Israel. And from all... More

The Jerusalem Gold is a great place, in a great location, and has great staff and services. The central bus station is located a block away, making it the best hotel if you wish to take short trips or travel on your own. Most local buses have a stop around the corner too, and airport transportation is easy and inexpensive. I... More

I read reviews of this hotel before I booked it, and did not expect a great experience. I boked it because I got a very good deal at 95 USD per night including breakfast for two. Depending on what you anticipate to do in Jerusalem, the location can be considered as good or bad. It is very close to the... More

* Arrival: The check-in was at 15:00 p.m. but I arrived earlier (12:00 p.m.). At the front desk, the clerk did not even bother to greet me, and he said that I should wait until 15:00 p.m. He did not even offer a place where to keep the luggage until then. I had to ask about it, and he even... More

The Jerusalem Gold is a perfect example of how a 4 star hotel can equal a (poorly maintained) 2 star hotel in Jerusalem. You can look forward to delights such as stains everywhere in the room, worn dirty carpets, a very small room – not enough to swing a cat. Tiny bathroom with no ventilation, no hairdryer, a bath –... I got a really good price with an online special. The rooms are decent and clean. I have never met such a nice stafff. For people who travel by bus, it's a dream, a 30 second walk to the central bus station with buses that go every where in the city and country. The lobby is nice, breakfeast is good.
