We stayed in two hotels that typically cost between $250-$300 per night; Caesar Premier Tiberias (by Sea of Galilee) and the St. George Hotel in Jerusalem. The positives are that the locations were perfect walking distance to sites with great views, the Wi-Fi was free, the beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. Compared to American standards I would... More

When you arrive at Reception, you are greeted by a plaque on the wall announcing this hotel was Winner of the Luxury Hotels award in 2014. On your second day, when you pass reception again you may be forgiven for theorising - that standards may have slipped woefully over the year or else that there were no competitive entries! The... Positive Location (just 300-400 m from the Herodes Gate of the Old City) Comfortable bed (actual double mattress) and pillows Relatively quiet room (we asked for one) Complimentary fruit basked and one bottle of mineral water upon arrival Free and fast internet in the room at no extra charge Negative The bathroom was way below 5* or 4* standard: It... We stayed four nights at the St. George and ate breakfasts and dinners there. Our group of 25 was pleased overall by the service, cleanliness, and good repair of the hotel, but have a few critiques. Ask for a room that is above the first couple of floors, as you will hear street noise, especially in the front section of... More

A 2 minute walk to the new light train and 6 minutes to the historic Old City. The staff solves any problem with a smile and shares great local info.,All the staff know English. The manager is more than willing to help and will (maybe, serve you a wonderful cup of coffee).

This was the first time we stayed at a hotel just over the line in East Jerusalem and I have to say that for Westerners you see JLM in a different light when you're out of your 'comfort zone' of West Jerusalem. Though the area itself is not particularly attractive you are very close to Damascus Gate and the hotel... More

The Saint George is a new hotel with the potential to be a good 4 star but definitely not a 5 star hotel. The location is excellent, being just a few minutes walk to the Garden Tomb and within a 10 minute walk to Damascus Gate and the Old City. But try to look past the authentic, squalid streets on... Great hotel, very good location, near the Old Town (near Damascus Gate). It is situated near the tram stop and the modern Jerusalem. The food was really excellent as it is a self-service with a different choice daily. Would recomment this place!

What's not to love about this place? It's a two minute walk from the old city and all the history there. It's on the outskirts of the Arab quarter, so you can easily find a bunch of places to eat or shop for modern conveniences if you left anything at home. There's a rooftop pool and balcony you can just... More

We stayed here for almost two weeks - it is the best place in Jerusalem! This is a modern, American style hotel in a quiet and secure area (across from the US Consulate).
