Pros: Lots of info on sightseeing Lots of stuff to do at the hostel - pool, tv, bar, comfortable seating, communal eating, laundry, foosball, books, etc Great mix of people -- hippy teenage backpackers --> aging Euro couples Cons: A bit farther from Old City than is preferable Dorm bed was not very comfortable

Abraham Hostel serves as an outstanding base to branch out and explore the lower half of Israel, including all of Jerusalem. For those days when you have explored enough, there are amenities that make life nice while getting to know your fellow travellers, like a pub, dining hall for breakfast, laundry, and computer room with internet access. You might stay... More

this is one of the few hostels in jerusalem. its big and has most of the things you expect in a hostel. good common areas, nice staff, good location, pretty clean overall, good activities. I found the dorms to be a bit crampy and the beds/bunks were quite narrow. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend.

Abraham Hostel is a perfect playce to stay in Jeruzalem. The staff is very nice, the rooms are simple but comfortable, if you like the hard beds. the tram runs just behind the building but also it is a 15 min walk to the old city. 2 corners away is the market where you can get fresh food or someting... This is the best hostel I have stayed at. It is perfectly located close to the old city of Jerusalem and the train station is right outside. The staff is very good, especially Maya who helped us get settled and guided us for the tours to book. I know we have to wait 20 minutes for the water to heat... More

I got recommended Abraham Hostel specifically for the tour of Jerusalem. All I can say is absolutely fantastic, from start to finish. Very friendly on the phone, a company that actually emails and corresponds when it says. The tour itself was very professional, very informative and compared to what some other tour companies offer, this was bargain of the century.... More

I had great experience at this hostel in February 2013 during my 10 days stay. The hostel is in great location with light train stop just one minute a way. The staff are very welcoming and the rooms are clean. Its layout encourage interaction among guests with plenty of activties in the evening including movies, pool and a lot to... More

This is one of the best hostels I have been to. The staff are great, the tours you can book directly from the lobby were alternative and interesting (I do not typically go for tours of just the sights). The facilities are spacious, clean and comfortable. The dorms have a light above each bed and a outlet, super convenient for... More

This is probably the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Apart from the über friendly staff, it's perfectly located, clean and well organized. The trips they offer are amazing, Wifi is free, breakfast is good - altogether a real treat for the buck.

Hard to imagine what all the positive reviews are about. This is basic dorm living with run down drab rooms, you have to wait 20 minutes for hot water, and the breakfast is nothing special and you have to wash your own dishes. Might be good if you are under 25, but for more adult travelers, the place doesn't work.... More
