We spent 10 days here. The rooms and breakfast were spartan but completely adequate. Noblus Road was torn up when we arrived so it was a bit dusty but the garden was a nice place to unwind after a lot of walking. Very convenient to the old city being so close to the Damascus gate. Sister Herminia took very good... More

Some travellers may be put off by the prospect of staying in a convent but Franciscaines de Marie really is a sanctuary in a sea of humanity. No prayers at night, no tripping over icons in hallways, no piped hymns - just a comfortable sanctuary!! Pros: Novel accommodation, UNBEATABLE location (close to Damascus Gate, three bus stations, Sherut Station and... More

Rooms are clean and the situation is great (near the Damascus Gate) but it was very hot in the rooms so we couldn't sleep at all. There is no air conditioner so be careful if you have some health problems. The breakfast is at 7.30-8.30, you have to be at the hotel before 11 PM every evening and the check... More

We spent 2 nights here. Location was perfect—only steps from the Damascus (Schem in Hebrew) Gate. Unfortunately, the street was being blasted (day AND NIGHT) by construction, which is likely to continue for a while. The room was very clean (if Spartan), and shower was great. The mattresses were very firm (which we liked), but smaller than the actual bed... More

I just want to come back to Jerusalem & stay with the Sisters, I did not see any negative point during my stay (Easter time) as I am on Pilgrim. I have been 3x times in Jerusalem (stayed in the hotel) but stay with Fransiscan Sister was the Best...The Sisters and staff were very helpfull, the room is basic (remember... More

The Sisters of this Franciscan convent were incredibly welcoming and made sure that we were all comfortable and happy. They helped deal with lost luggage, provided on-site postal services (letters), and had free wifi. The accommodation is basic but comfortable, and extremely nice to come back to at the end of a day walking the hot, crowded streets of old... More

In a January search for reasonably-priced, well-rated church house accommodations in Jerusalem for an April visit, the Franciscaines was about the only one left. The room, while frills free except for in-room wifi, was a good size with a decent shower bathroom and was cleaned every day. Breakfast is very generous. It was excellent to be able to reach the... Very simple, but good spacy rooms with Wi-Fi, good and rich breakfast, very nice franciscaine sisters and personel. We were there alone and felt like being part of the community. Great to visit Old City and take buses wherever you want to go: two minutes walk! Space for car parking! Very sweet memories!

We stayed here for 5 days, and it was very pleasant. Sisters are very kind and helpful, I will be missing them. Room is simple but clean, wi-fi available, water machine available. No TV though. The location is 5 star, since it is just 2 minutes walking from Damascus Gate, and also close to but terminals.

The Sisters could not be more accommodating to their guests. Sweet, lovely and helpful. We stayed here because of the proximity to the old city. Everything was walkable. Light rail is one block away, the Damascus gate is one block away, the bus station is half a block. We could pop into the old city for Mass at 6:30am in... More
