The hotel is situated right outside the Herod gate into the walled city making it super convenient to explore. The decor and overall feel is a bit dated and compared to The George or American Colony this hotel is basic. Rooms are large though. They have a lounge area on the 1st floor where you can bring your food and... More

A great location and fair accommodation for Europeans in this amazing city. Not up to the standard we normally expect in Europe but good enough. No aircon so be prepared for very hot sleepless nights in summer! Meals are adequate and the place is clean enough. A noisy environment around the hotel can be off putting for those who do... More

Very basic hotel. Very cheap compared to other hotels in the old city. Has free WIFI. They have a basic breakfast. 5 min walk to the Damascus Gate. Many shops near by. I've stayed there many times, not the Hilton but if your on a budget then I highly recommend.

If you are seeing Jerusalem on a tight budget, the Rivoli may fit the bill. Yes, it is fairly basic though it does have wi-fi which is more effective you get to the lounge. The positioning is good, near to Herod's Gate for easy access into the Old City, with the Police Station and Post Office just across the road.... More

The rooms are basic, en suite but with a very odd shower set up, air con, no fridge, rooms at back are nice and quiet but with no view, although I don't think the front would be noisy. Older staff were great, younger ones OK. Breakfast was pretty basic and the coffee awful, large TV lounge, although I didn't see... More

I never give 1s. This place is absolutely horrible. Hot water only 5 hours per day. Horrible security. Keys left on front desk for anyone to pick up. While rooms are being cleaned all doors left wide open for hours. Locked in at night. Front door locked from the inside. Burn to death in a fire. Overbooked on 1st night.... More

We booked online via Booking.com (excellent service) as we had done all our other hotels through them, the hotel reported that we were noshows, I took this up with Booking.com but am still awaiting resolution. They overcharged us for an extra night on our credit card. Booking.com had to step in to get us a refund.Anyways the location is the... More

This hotel has only 2 good things (the location - for the ones who want to stay close to the Old Town gate (but in the very dirt and noisy part of Jerusalem and part of the personnel). The manager is a very rude person who offends the guests if they don't like the terrible conditions they are supposed to... More

Like other reviews said, this hotel is in a great location. The closest gate is Herod's gate which is where the Via Dolorosa is. Also, the Garden Tomb is within walking distance, one of the most peaceful places in Jerusalem (plus FREE). The walk to Jaffa Gate, where many of the attractions are, is within 15 min walking (albeit uphill).... More

Being just a stone's throw from the Old Jerusalem, this hotel is an ideal one for visitors to the old city and other historical sites nearby, such as Bethlehem and Jericho. My room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and the dining room was beautiful. The lack of an elevator was not much of a problem. Also, the manager... More
