We stayed 5 nights 07-12 Nov 2014 in Studio B of Ruth Barkai's house. We really appreciated Ruth's help for our daily excursions, advices about transportations, where to park and not to park our rental car, which bus to take to Bethleem, Olive Mount or Ein Kerem, or to book Nesher shuttle service from the aiport. We had not enough... More

We stayed in Studio B for two months (September and October) while working in the region, so the Barkai Studios became our home away from home. The studio was comfortable and quite spacious with the sleeping area being situated above the rest of the room. The shower was "compact" as Ruti formulated it, but still big enough for our needs.... Nice and comfortable studio near central and old Jerusalem. We loved to sit in the garden under the olive tree, that gives a welcome shadow, while drinking a glass of cool white wine. Ruti is a lovely person and very considerate and helpful. Hope to pay a visit to this garden studio in the near future. It's not a hotel,... More

the location of barkai studios so close to the old city and the rockefeller museum and, for me, uptown jerusalem, the markets, the stores on ben yehuda made this return visit an easy choice for me. and, when i reutnred form my walks, i could take my mug of tea to the garden, hang some laundry, and listen to jerusalem.... We have known of the Barkai Studios for more than 10 years and finally got a chance to stay there in April. The 3 apartments are cleverly and beautifully designed - the space is compact, and yet we comfortably fit our family of 5. The location is unbeatable, on the quaint, stone cobbled streets of Musrara, within a 5 minute... More

Located between Damascus and Jaffa gates, Barkai Studio has a wonderful location to visit Jerusalem and a cosy, comfortable atmosphere. Its street is one of the most charming and quiet I've seen in the city. In the G Studio and I enjoyed having breakfast in the veranda overlooking the garden (after some recent snow storm) and Ruth Barkai is a... More

We stayed with Ruti and the Barkai Studios for 6 weeks from October to November 2013, and had a wonderful stay. We (my husband, me and our 8 months old boy) stayed in both the Garden Studio and in Studio B. Studio B is larger and gives a bit more moving space, with the bed located on a second floor... More

This was perfect place for us. We have spent 2 weeks in Jerusalem with 4 old guy. Staying in the garden apartment was a perfect decision. After full day of walking, sometimes on desert - it was a nice place to come back and to rest to be ready for the next day. Quiet, 5 minutes to old city, in... More

We stayed here recently and we absolutely loved it. This was our first trip to Israel and we were not disappointed. She let's you know up front that it is not a luxury accommodation and we appreciated this. She emails out directions for guests to follow from the airport and I have to tell you having the address written in... More
