The hostel seems a bit packed, but it's cosy nonetheless. And very clean and cheap. Damascus gate is just across the street and it's easy to take a stroll in the old city. To travel to palestinian territories, bus station in just next to the hostel, for the rest of Israel, there is tram to other bus st. The staff... More

We stayed there for two nights in an 8 dorm. It was clean, quiet, staff was friendly and there was hot water. Unfortunately in the winter it gets quite cold due to old windows. The hot water was too hot - showers were hard to adjust. Staff was quite old - it's not your typical backpacker hostel. I blow dried... More

This place was wonderful. comfortable beds, clean rooms and showers, wicked fast wifi. The staff was super friendly and very helpful and genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible! As well they have a nice kitchen area with free tea and coffee. Additionally, you are literally a 30 second walk to the Damascus gate of the old city... More

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights and were totally satisfied, I'm not sure where the bad ratings are coming from.... It's an EXCELLENT location, right outside old city, right next to a bunch of bus stations, super delicious and cheap falafel place and a bakery right next door, fruit and veggie market right out front, very nice... Stayed at New Palm Hostel for two nights and were very happy with our stay. Location is very good, right next to the Damascus Gate to the Old City and easy to get from the bus terminal with the L1-line. Breakfast was also good and there were coffee, tea and filtered water 24/7. Best of all was the staff who... More

I booked this hotel as it was the cheapest I could find. I was very presently surprised how good the hotel was. The owners were all friendly and helpful. The location is one of the best if you want to visit the old city, there were shared taxis outside, beyond them Arab busses, and beyond them a modern tram which... More

Do not ever stay in this hostel. Or if you contrived to visit it, do not pay by the card, your money will be stolen. I met a guy, who said, that they stole $70 from his card. I thought, it was mistake, but a couple weeks later they stole $15 from mine. Disgusting hostel, no ac in the room,... More

The people at Palm hostel took such good care of us during our stay, going out of their way to help us! Tea and coffee is provided and a good way to make new friends, lots of interesting people come through. Breakfast, a meze style fare, is provided if you stay at the hotel, as are towels. The hostel is... More

Everything is good, just little problems: Internet connectivity gets lost (but actually this is not a problem of hostel, I have been in Eilat, Tel-Aviv and Jerussalem and I can say that internet connectivity over wi-fi connection is a problem of Israel, but mobile internet is excellent), by bed sheet was not clean. In addition, stuff is consist of muslim... More
