My wife and 3 girls travelled here in Summer of 2014. My wife is originally from Jerusalem, and this hotel was near family, so the location was excellent. This hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Rab-Kab Subway train that goes through the city, and is also a 10 minute walk from Damascus Gate, the premier entrance to the... More

Very basic hotel. Needs a real facelift. Beds make a lot of noise. Bathroom is of poor design which makes the bathroom wet all over outside the shower area. Staff is very friendly. When I asked for a water kettle they immediately gave me one to use in my room. Hotel is very near the Old City.

We enjoyed our stay at New Victoria Hotel and would definitively recommend it to friends and family. It is a no-frills hotel with friendly and service minded personnel located within a few minutes walking distance from the Old City, Herodes Gate, restaurants, and other attractions.

Very kind staff, clean, but poor accomodations. Relatively cheap - would classify it with 1 star. Close to the old city. Free parking may eventually be available. Located at the eastern (arab) part of Jerusalem.

The hotel's biggest plus is its location close to the Damascus Gate and the Old Town! The rooms are rather small but comfortable and clean. Breakfast is included and comes in Middle Eastern style. Make friends with the waiters and they might prepare scrambled eggs for you :-) The staff in general was helpful and friendly. Arriving in the middle... More

The hotel was absolutely amazing, we had no idea what it would be like since it was our first time but we loved it. The location is one of its key factors. The walk from the hotel to the al aqsa mosque(which I visited several times a day) can be a rather lengthy one at times but holds a wonderful... More

While clearing up an "invoice problem",someone entered my room and took cash and a bank card.Only noticing after cab driver drove me around and charged me every cent I had on me,leaving me no money to pay for shuttle.Stress full times.Leaving my camera as a deposit on the 60 shekels owed, this too ballooned to 165 shekels before I finally got... I was in Jerusalem a few times and have always stayed in New Victoria hotel. Very pleasant and friendly staff. They treat every guest individually and try to fulfill all wishes. Nothing is not a problem. I definitely recommend!!!

Excellent hotel in East Jerusalem very close to the Damascus and Herod Gates. It's in a rambling, rundown building which could do with some renovation but we never found this to be a problem. The rooms are a reasonable size and very clean and comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space and hangers to hang up your things. We never found noise... More

I can see why many people may rate this as high as they do. I have travelled the world and stayed in many hotels across the spectrum but I think it needs to be pointed out that the facilities are terrible. The location is great from a proximity to Old City, but while I didn't feel unsafe, many would be... More
