After visiting this hotel for over 10 years I am sadly disappointed with my last visit. Besides being an old hotel, which was okay as they compensated with amazing service, great food and a no kids policy.. Today that is not the case. The hotel is understaffed, the rooms are not cleaned to the standard one would expect and the... More

This was my second visit to the Carmel Spa and it was fantastic. The garden room had a terrace that looked out over the gardens and the Carmel hills. Breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start the day and the food at dinner was delicious. I had three treatments and my favourite was the Hot Stones. If... More

The second I walked in, I knew this Spa would be excellent. It had a mellow vibe, nice aroma in the air, and a guitarist in the lobby/bar area. By the way, the drive from Tel Aviv was also very pretty particularly as you got closer to the Carmel Forest. The room I had was excellent - small sitting area,... More

At apx. 400US$ per night (offseason) for a full board accommodation, this is certainly not a cheap resort. The resort is located within the (now burnt, yet recovering) Mt. Carmel forest. It's apx. a 30-minute drive south from Haifa. Check-in was a nightmare. There are no lines at the reception (which is located on floor 5 – the street level),... More

I had been keen to visit the Carmel Forest Spa for many years so am thrilled to have finally had a chance to go. Sadly my feelings are somewhat mixed. Firstly the positive: The hotel is beautiful. The grounds are stunning, the outdoor pool is especially fabulous & very clean, with fluffy, large towels in plentiful supply. The spa is... More

Would you pay about €600 per couple per night and be unable to get coffee after dinner, our your room cleaned? That is what I am doing right now and I am flabbergasted by the poor quality of this hotel. If you don't want to feel cheated like I do, don't go there. Look at the pictures below. This is... More

I had a hard time deciding if I should rate the place as 4 or 5. The place is really great, but not perfect and for the high prices they charge you expect the place to be perfect. There are lots of advantages. The grounds are pretty, the rooms we had were great, the place is quiet without kids running... More

I stayed there with my husband for 3 days and we were VERY bored. The only plus about this hotel is the dinner is great. The rooms are very old and dated like the rest of the hotel. I would suggest this hotel to an elderly couple who wants extreme peace and quiet for a few days.

There are big plusses and minuses to this hotel, but since there are very few places in Israel that compete with it (and those places are, for the most part, other Isrotel properties), it seems that there is no push to make this truly five star. The rooms are simple and dated, bathrooms are tiny, private decks are not so... More

The hotel is ok, not more than that. The design is nice but dated, and the rooms are small and quit basic. for the price they charge, we expected much much more. The service is not too good- The hotel didn't inform us in advance about few basic things (like actual check in and check out time) and the overall... More
