Having stayed at several hotels in Haifa, both at the upper and lower city, this hotel provided a great staying experience for us with great cost/performance. It is situated right next to the Moria Blvd. at the top of the Carmel mountain and as such at a walking distance to all the major tourist locations that the upper city has... More

The Templars have created an oasis for tourists and pilgrims in early 20th century on the Carmel mountain to enjoy the fresh air and belle views all around. A hundred years later what used to be 'Carmelhiem' is nowadays the centre of Haifa. At the heart of this neighbourhood within a beautiful courtyard stands Villa Carmel; 2 floors with 14... More

I decided to surprise my Girlfriend and take her to surprise birthday in Villa Carmel Boutique. the hotel very luxurious, is not big i think something like 15 rooms, high quality and uncluttered. (most of the people are tourists and not local Israelis) I got a very good recommendation Villa Carmel Boutique and decided to go for it. Already in... More

If you are like me, emphasizing the fact that a hotel is a boutique hotel, esp. doing so in the hotel name itself, brings up my expectations. I expect a small hotel with excellent customer service, very good maintenance of the room and its equipment, and fine dining. Well, dining in Villa Carmel was indeed fine. Really, it was very... Very disappointing, far from what it promises to be. Location is good if you are seeking the upper Carmel neighborhood feeling. Reception staff was a bit snappish. Elevator doors would only open half way on first floor, we never used it again. There are four room types. We were upgraded to a suite which is in fact a large and... More

Small, charming hotel with a european feel. Up high on Mt Carmel, catches the cooler Mediterranean breezes. Great cafes, bars, and restaurants in walking distance. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Nice restaurant downstairs with an outdoor dining area and delicious fare, especially the Israeli breakfast. Room 11 was large with a small balcony and full size bath. This hotel... More

I recently traveled to Haifa on business and a colleague recommended the Villa Carmel Boutique Hotel to me. It's a tiny, 15-room, renovated building, so don't be expecting a big fancy hotel with lots of amenities. What you do get is a lot of charm, a friendly staff, and a great location from which you can walk to restaurants, bars,... More

We had a night in rm 15. Ths room is tiny. Tge smell of wetness is everywhere. So we opened the window. But there was no insect net... Abd this is spring. So our room was filled witg flying insects. The water in toilet ran without stopping, unless you remember to give it a gentle nudge. The hot water did... More

We've stayed here just 1 night while visiting north, and as other reviews sad, we've expected a 5* boutique hotel. The Villa is very nice and the family the runs it very helpful & friendly. However, it does need a bit re-fresh and maintenance, e.g. elevator is quite old, the paint is pilling off, shower cabin liking and the shower... More

This 1940s hotel has been restored with great attention to detail. It is on a quiet residential street, within easy walking distance of several small restaurants. You can also walk to the Bahai Gardens, which takes you through and area with more restaurants, shops and hotels. We arrived early, and while we received a very warm welcome, we were not... More
