First of all the location is really wonderful; every hotel in Eilat is a big building with so many floors... here you can find a village in the nature (really strange in the desert)! The rooms are beautiful and big. At meal you can find really everything, even if the service is not at the same standard of the all... more

My boyfriend and I (both early 30s) spent three nights at the Orchid Hotel in June. It was part of a two week trip to Israel and overall we had a very enjoyable stay. To those who have never been to Israel, understand that Israelis are far more casual than North Americans are. Don't expect the super uptight level of... more

We've stayed in the hotel in the "dead season" - the end of January. It's a Thai-style looking bunch of bungalows, very charming and stylish, however not so well maintained. The hotel is located in the Southern part of the city, close to the Egyptian border. Almost every bungalow has a sea view, the higher the location is, the better... more

We just got back from a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Orchid. We stayed in a villa and our children had a regular room. The rooms were large and beautiful. We had our own hot tub with a soft bed overlooking the mountains and water. The staff could not be friendlier and the breakfast was unbelievable. We have stayed... more

We stayed at the orchid hotel last year in april... We stayed in one of the houses... and we had our own private jacuzzi and terrace overlooking the red sea and Jordan... wich was really nice I think it is a great place to stay; it is a BEAUTIFUL setting and at night it looks absolutely amazing with the lights... more

We wanted to have a nice getaway for our last four days in Israel, but it was a desaster. Service was complete unwilling, rooms were old and sticky, and if we complaint, than the staff more then unfriendly. And of course nothing changed. Examples: We stayed during Yom Kippur. Asking, how we might get food, we were told: we are... more

We spent three nights. Location is good if you are looking for quiet, away from Eilat center. You get a "shack" on the slope of the mountain, accessed only by ordering a special golf kart. Sometimes you have to wait more than 10 minutes to the "tuk-tuk", and call several times to remind them that you are waiting. Maintainance is... more

Our three night stay at the Orchid Hotel started off with the staff giving us keys to a room that was exactly as the last gests had left it. Filthy towels, opened shampoos, the whole shebang. Of course, we called them to complain. It wouldn't be our last call. During our stay, we called several more times to request hand... more

Hotel is a great place to stay if you are looking to escape the crowded noisy experience of downtown eilat. We have been back 3 times and enjoy the space and relaxed feel of this thai resort. A 5-10 minute taxi ride or a bike ride to Eilat centre if you want restaurants vegas style theme hotels. Best bit is... more

I stayed for two nights at this supposedly 5 star hotel, but it really doesn't deserve that ranking. We should have recognized the omens from the beginning -- we booked via the hotel website, including a couple of requests and questions in the designated section in the web booking form. They responded with a room confirmation, but without answering our... more
