We stayed for 3 nights at the Kibbutz Keturah guest house deep in Israel's Negev desert. Accommodations are simple yet clean and comfortable. Main meals are eaten in communal dining room with the kibbutz residents and is classic kibbutz fare. The real treat is to explore an entrepreneurial yet fully cooperative success story in the desert. Solar fields and a... More

The room has a kitchenette, it is clean but rustic . Dinner and breakfast were buffet in the main dinning room of the Kibbutz, food was simple nourishing. The AC in my room was noisy and had to close it to fall asleep. The shower is VERY RUSTIC, the curtain dose not go the whole way down and water gets... More

this is a kibbutz guest house located about 35 minutes north of eilat by car. there is transportation by bus as well. if you are looking to come to visit the region for some outdoor activity and are seeking something quieter and smaller scale than the resort hotels of eilat - this is the place. there is hiking in the... The guest house is professionally run and has a reception that is always open. This is important because the kibbutz is gated and you need to be let in. The room is typical kibbutz guest house with some welcoming fruit, coffee , tea and milk waiting. There is good wifi and tv. The breakfast is in the kibbutz dining hall... More

This is not a luxury hotel. It is a conference and meeting center, and a place to sleep while participating in the breathtaking beauty of the area. I stayed in a two bedroom apartment, each with a bathroom, and a shared kitchen. No living room area. AC worked well, beds comfortable. Most like a college dorm. You are not visiting... More

Good check-in. We stayed at Pitaya 7, a suite of 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. It's showing some wear but still acceptable. Firm bed, good AC. We stayed while on a Shabbaton. Community synagogue services in conservative style. Dinner and breakfast were bountiful, but the food is pretty plain and cooked vegetables are overcooked, and the recipes could easily be... More

I had an amazing experience at Kibbutz Ketura. There is something compelling and magical about the Arava; something about it really draws you in. The desert has its own powerful kind of beauty, and the gardens and grounds around the guest areas are simply gorgeous. The juxtaposition of the raw natural beauty of the desert and the ordered, colourful beauty... More

An amazing combination of the Ararva desert experience together with spiritual surroundings, hi-tech industry and a warm kibbutz atmosphere. All in clean and comfortable rooms. just be ready for 40 degrees Celsius heat. Highly recommended for a relaxed retreat.

It is almost impossible to say no to any of the options Keren Kolot has for desert! Chocolate chip cookies, cheesecake and the apple pie! And it is all prepared locally! Don't forget to order it with ice cream :) The only drawback is that they close early of Friday and the lobby is not accessible on Saturday. The Kibbuts... More

On our way back from Eilat we made an overnight stop over at the Ketura Kibutz. It was a very interesting experience. The kibutz has a lodge with about 45 guests units. We received a large room with a full bathroom and a kitchen with a refrigerator and equipped with heating pot and all the utensils needed to make a... More
