An amazing combination of the Ararva desert experience together with spiritual surroundings, hi-tech industry and a warm kibbutz atmosphere. All in clean and comfortable rooms. just be ready for 40 degrees Celsius heat. Highly recommended for a relaxed retreat.

It is almost impossible to say no to any of the options Keren Kolot has for desert! Chocolate chip cookies, cheesecake and the apple pie! And it is all prepared locally! Don't forget to order it with ice cream :) The only drawback is that they close early of Friday and the lobby is not accessible on Saturday. The Kibbuts... More

On our way back from Eilat we made an overnight stop over at the Ketura Kibutz. It was a very interesting experience. The kibutz has a lodge with about 45 guests units. We received a large room with a full bathroom and a kitchen with a refrigerator and equipped with heating pot and all the utensils needed to make a... More

There aren't many kibbutzim in Israel that still embrace, or truly attempt to embrace, the communal spirit, but Ketura still does. At the same time, this is a forward-thinking kibbutz: while they still grow dates, they also have a massive solar energy array (and are building a new larger one) and a red algae farm where their dairy cows used... Our group of 50 stayed for two nights in this very friendly kibbutz recently. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean, the staff were exceptionally friendly and they could not do enough to make our stay pleasant. The educational program they arranged was interesting and varied. A special place where we were welcomed warmly. Would strongly recommend a stay of... More

We stayed at Keturah for 3 nights, using that location as a base for exploring the Negev and Eilat. The accomodations were spacious. There were 2 large rooms & 2 full bathrooms for the 3 of us, as well as a kitchen. They even welcomed us with some fruit in the refrigerator along with milk and cold cereal. Breakfast was... More

We stayed here thinking it would be a good alternative to the touristy Eilat. But it's not a convenient base camp if you plan to be doing things in Eilat. The staff was very friendly by phone when making the reservation and left some nice things for us in the room. On the other hand, they were not accommodating when... More

I am staying their once a week for the last 6 months. It is a nice and clean place. Pleasant staff and decent breakfast. I would recommend it to whomever wants a budget stay in the the ARAVA region. They have double rooms, dual room suit and 4 rooms suits and all of them are very good.

This was our second stay at Ketura. We booked ahead for three nights. Our first trip we had been told reservations were not necessary and were lucky to get lodging for just one night. We toured the dairy farm, the date farm, the algae farm, the solar farm, all with lengthy explanations as to their origin, development significance. We learned... More
