Last week me and my girlfriend were on a trip around western-Turkey. We came by the city of Selcuk. A great town with a warm and nice atmosphere. We stayed at Hotel Nazar, just a 5 minute walk to the city-centre with nice and tasty restaurants. The staff of Hotel Nazar is very friendly. Rooms are nice and clean and... More

We stayed three nights and highly recommend the property. The owner Ilker went out of his way to ensure an enjoyable stay. We choose to stay in Selcuk to experience more of a small town/working town atmosphere. We were not disappointed - locals parked their tractors across the street from the hotel. We enjoyed walking around the small Selcuk downtown... More

We stayed four nights and have to say it is one of the nicest small hotels we have stayed at. Ilker ,his family and staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms are plainly and tastefully (newly) decorated with white linens.Good breakfast. The weather at the end of March wasn't warm enough for us to eat outside but the roof terrace and... Loved this great b&bin Selcuk, turkey. The owner went so far out of his way to help us with every single detail. We so appreciated him staying up late, organizing the day in pammukale when there was no official tour running, and getting up at the crack of dawn to drop us off at the shuttle to catch an early flight... The host was great and welcoming but for over all value I think one can do better than this, we've been travelling around Turkey so we were surprised by the offerings for breakfast which wasn't much, white bread, coffee, 1 egg, also don't get so impulsive in signing up with the tour offered in this hotel, unless you want to... Stayed here so we could visit Ephesus, a very comfortable B&B, on our first night they put us in a small room as they were fully booked, but moved us into a family room for the next couple of nights, which was huge. Owners very friendly, breakfast on the rooftop restaurant. we ate there one night as we were exhausted from... More

Look through the reviews of this hotel and you will see all the references to Ilker Sen and his family. What a great host he is. That's what distinguishes the hotel as he can't do enough for his guests and our two day stay there was made truly exceptional by him. So let's look at the advantages - the hotel... More

I stayed at Hotel Nazar for one night during a recent trip to Turkey. The hotel is within easy walking of the train station and downtown Selçuk, but the neighborhood itself is rather shabby. The place is run by a very affable and helpful fellow (who speaks English) and his parents (who don't). The room was very clean, quiet, and... More

Since I was arriving alone two days before my friends, I decided to fly to Izmir and connect to Selcuk right away. I was happy to do so, since Ephesus, Virgin Mary's House, St. John Basilica, etc. are all right there. My stay at Nazar was very pleasant. Ilger, the owner, is a very helpful guy. I was supposed to... More

This is a very basic hotel, its clean and the location is good in relation to Ephesus and the Church of St John, the main attractions in Selcuk. The street it is located in is not attractive at all. We paid a high price for basic accommodation and a very rationalized breakfast, consisting of one boiled egg, olives and yogurt... More
