After booking another hotel, my husband and I made a split second decision to stay closer to town, turned on our heels, and walked toward what we thought looked like the middle of things. Luckily, we found Hotel Nazar. The hotel is conveniently located, impeccably clean, comfortable, with a very good breakfast included, but what really makes this place stand... More

Absolutely the best hotel we visited in our Turkey tour. Very clean, good breakfast, quite neighbourhood. Hotel not new but well maintained. Location near cathedral and castle, 20 liras by taxi to Efes. Walking distance to main street, otogar and train station. Owner very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Like Miniking (see review earlier), I was stuck in Selcuk after a big snowstorm in Istanbul closed Ataturk airport in Feb15. Despite having no further booking, Ilker and Selma accommodated us and even got us another room on the 2nd unscheduled night for my teenage son (total of 3 nights). Ilker spent a long time on the telephone late at... More

I traveled solo to Selcuk, mainly to see nearby Ephesus. So it was very nice to have very friendly and informative staff at the hotel. Felt like home! The owners take pride and joy in their hotel and it shows. They are both extremely knowledgable of the history of Ephesus and Turkey in general. The hotel is directly on the... More

I liked this hotel because it is not too far from Ephesus and it has free parking. Hotel is easy to find, room is comfortable and very clean. Enough amenities according to what you pay. I was quite happy with the sleepers as it was the only hotel that has it at the same price range. In the morning, you... More

This hotel is excellent. I stayed here for 4 nights and the room was spacious, warm and had a view of the castle. It is convenient to the centre of town, in walking distance of the castle, St John's Basilica, and the Isa Bey mosque. The great thing about this hotel was the helpfulness of owner, Ilker, who spent a... More

Our daughter-in-law who is a native of SW Turkey, picked out this lovely hotel for our stay In June 2014, and we loved it! The host couldn't have been more helpful with arrangements for area tours, recommendations for Turkish cuisine, our rooms and getting us to Izmir on time for our return flight. We had a great stay, delicious food... More

Every part of staying in this hotel was perfect. This is a basic hotel that provides amazing personal touch service. The service started before my arrival with several emails setting up pickup from the airport and arranging for a tour to Pamukkale. My host pick me up from the airport, since it was late for the train, and offered to... More

Our stay at Nazar was pleasant and comfortable. The owner speaks a good English and went out of his way to accommodate and assist us. All suggested tours and trips were worth-while. We enjoyed a sense of homeliness at this hotel and recommend it for its proximity to Ephesus and other sites, but also for the hospitality and personal touch.
