We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We planned to train into Selcuk and catch a bus from Ephesus so were after a hotel close to both. It was walking distance to both the train and bus station, a couple on minutes from the train, probably 5 minutes walk to the bus station. It was easy to find the evening... More

This hotel has three positives: exceptionally helpful staff on the desk, home cooked breakfast and clean comfortable beds. Unfortunately, these do not compensate sufficiently for the terrible bathroom (horrible tiling, cramped and poorly finished) and musty, depressing room which needs renovating badly. This is more a hostel than a hotel.

If you want to visit Ephesus, Pamukkale and other attractions of this part of Turkey it is very much advisable that you stay in Selcuk. And in Selcuk Urkmez Hotel may not be the most luxurious but it is certainly the most friendly and well placed hotel. If you land in Izmir then you can take a direct train from... More

Hotel is located in the centre of town, an easy walking distance from most attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful, always willing to recommend a restaurant or give directions. Rooms were clean with a great view of the castle from the balcony. Extensive breakfast with great quality food.

The hotel was great, the service wonderful, and the food amazing. The people are very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful time. Very nice location in the center of town next to shopping, restaurants, cafes and the Saturday market.

My experience at the Urkmez hotel was nothing shy of perfect! The staff, food, accommodations and cafe are excellent. They have connections all over Ephesus to give you the best experience in Selcuk. Highly recommend if you want a great holiday in Turkey.

Stayed at Urkmez Hotel for 3 nights. Our room had a balcony with a castle view. Rooms were adequate size, very comfortable and were cleaned everyday. The hotel has 3 floors and the 4th floor is a cute little roof top terrace where the breakfast is served. The breakfast is sumptuous. They have a good collection of books and CD's. Perfect... More

I tried to rate this hotel as excellent but the ratings button seems stuck on very good! Clean, comfortable, and modestly priced. Great view of the castle from my room at the front of the hotel which was surprisingly quiet. Owners on site, very pleasant, personal service. They had arranged my pick up and drop off at Izmir airport which... More

Stayed at the Urkmez Hotel for 2 nights during Turkish Eid. Staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome, especially "Typhoon" who found and walked us to a pharmacy that was open during the holiday. Breakfast was standard and plentiful, rooms were large by Turkish standards and comfortable. Location is great, opposite the Museum and central to shops and... More

Stayed 2 nights at the hotel. Location is great - great restaurants/amenities are around the corner and the hotel is very near the bus station. Hotel room is clean and adequate. Staff were helpful in offering tea and the locations of the pharmacy (one just next door!) when they learnt that my wife was still weak from a fever. Also... More
