Convenient to train and sights in Selcuk. Easy taxi transport to Ephesus. Reception friendly and carried luggage in hotel without a lift. Room very basic and small with an even smaller bathroom. TV didn't work and a promise to fix it wasn't met during out two night stay. Breakfast on top floor with views of area.

My wife and I, along with my parents, stayed at Urkmez Hotel for three nights. We were met by friendly staff who directed us where to park. The owner and staff are incredibly helpful and hospitable. Breakfast was included and the roofed deck offered a great view of the castle. The location is perfect, short walk to the Basilica of... More

It's a decent, no frills hotel in the center of Selcuk. Although it's not hip, trendy or modern it is definitely extremely friendly and accommodating. When we arrived to the hotel, we learned that the street that leads to the hotel was recently closed to traffic. Apparently someone notified the owner/manager that there were guests outside who couldn't get through... More

It is like all family run hotels. People are good, caring and like to help you.But lack professional touch in service. Small things can take care of many inconvenience like spoon for mixing tea/coffee, place to keep soap, proper holder for shower (it does not stay when put on), creamer, side table on both side of bed, dustbin in room as... A lovely hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. We lost our shoes in Pamukkale and the hotel staff helped us to make a few calls in order to get them back, the effort was really impressive. We enjoyed our stay in Urkmez hotel.

The staff is extremely friendly. While everyone we met in Turkey were absolutely incredible, we thought the staff at the Urkmez were one of most genuine and friendliest. The best part of our stay is the roof top terrace for breakfast: it over looks St John's Basilica and the Selcuk Castle. They are expanding the terrace: it looks like it... More

Great location. The staff very friendly, always ready to help you. Breakfast very good with a fantastic view of the castle. Rooms clean and very close to shops and restaurants. I´d definitely come back there.

This is my 2nd visit to Selcuk and I returned to the Ukmez Hotel as I will do again and again. The owners, Juju and Jimi go out of their way to make may stay comfortable and worry free. They assisted with my Ephesus tour reservation, laundry in hotel, suggestions for area dining drove me back to the Izmir airport.

The hotel is located less than a minute walk to Selcuk train station and within few minutes to Ephesus/ Temple of Artemis. The hotel room is of good-size, simple and comfortable with amenities like slippers, soap and shampoo. It is clean and hot shower is working well. Wifi is good. There are free bottles of water as a welcome drink.... More

The staff honestly couldn't do enough to help...they were great. Tayfun (apologies for the spelling) helped find parking, carried bags and checked us in, followed by local advice, a genuinely nice chap. The rooms were adequate (we had 3 rooms), two rooms had balconies with lovely views of Selcuk Castle. The view did come at a price....we were on the... More
