We spent 5 nights at the Urkmez and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Although the room was small, it was very comfortable. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we were sad to say goodbye to Taifun and the Ozkan brothers. The breakfast was delicious with lots of different Turkish dishes. The staff helped to arrange tours for us... More

We stayed for 3 nights and were welcomed by all the staff with big smiles, especially Jimme and Typhoon. The room was clean, warm with a small bathroom but excellent hot water. Centrally located, a fantastic buffet breakfast, good coffee and staff that are willing to go the extra mile. No lifts, no big problem unless injured or physically unable... More

While its in an excellent location right next to train station, the rooms are small and the bathrooms are modest at best. They didn't come to clean during our 2 day stay and the hotel didn't speak English that well, creating a lot of confusion. The breakfast was good and was helpful in arranging tours. Overall, I feel it's a... More

Stayed here in March 2015. The hotel is well situated near everything - bus station, train station, CBD, markets (the Saturday market is vast!). The Staff was superb, friendly and spoke good English. The room, although smallish, was fine for us. The bed was nice with white duvet. The TV has BBC World and other European channels. Their breakfast was... More

Rooms are modest, but the service and breakfast were great! This hotel is just steps away from the train station where we had an easy train ride from ADB. Also, the location is great for tourists looking to visit the amazing ancient city of Ephesus. Staff was very helpful - we really enjoyed our stay.

The Urkmez Hotel is a family owned and operated hotel located on a pedestrian street centrally located in Selcuk, Turkey. The rooms are cozy and very clean. Our room had a small balcony and we sat there during sunsets enjoying tea or a glass of wine...lovely! The staff was extremely friendly and kind. I was sick upon my arrival to... More

Loved staying at this little hotel with it's super friendly staff and great breakfasts. Rooms basic but very clean and comfortable. Spotless, crisp white sheets and towels changed every day. Good A/C/heating, comfortable beds and pillows. Bathrooms have all you need- hot water and very clean. The staff, especially Typhoon and the breakfast ladies, so helpful, kind and generous. Unique... Great location. If we hadn’t gotten lost (wrong direction out of the bus terminal) we would have been there within 10 min. Sweet neighbourhood – a little noisy with the windows open if you’re not use to downtown city noise but lovely area to walk about. Nice breakfast area on the rooftop (or close to the roof top). Really lovely... More
