We stayed at the Nilya for three nights recently while we explored the amazing surrounding sights of Ephesus, Pamukkale and Aphrodisias. The hotel is conveniently located just away from the bustling main street in town and was an oasis of calm. The rooms were beautifully decorated with local art and craft work and we particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony... More

I stayed at Nilya for one night and was extremely impressed with it, especially how friendly the staff were. The sister hotel around the corner was fantastic for food, I would recommend this too. The hotel was a beautiful quaint old building with a fantastic courtyard. Highlight of our stay was relaxing with a glass of wine in the courtyard... More

It is located centrally in Selcuk. The hotel staff were very efficient in communicating over emails and explaining how to go about seeing Efes before we reached there. They also arranged a complimentary pick up for us from the railway station. The room was somewhat small but functional with old world style interiors. No complaints - value for money. They... More

I saw this saying printed somewhere at the beginning of my too-short stay at Nilya Hotel, “Come as a guest, leave as family”. Hear me Hotel Nilya: Please adopt me! Let me start by just stating the obvious: the place is charming. It is set a few short turns of the street next to the entry to the Basilica St... More

We stayed for 2 nights in Hotel Nilya during our trip to Selcuk. It is less than 3 mins walk to St John's Basilica. They also have sister hotel Bella which is right in front of St John's basilica. The owners gave us a ride to ephesus which was extremely nice. Once we were done with tour we were picked... More

This is a very pleasant hotel with friendly staff. The owners also have the Bella hotel around the corner, where the food and views are quite good, and a shop selling excellent porcelain. Close to the centre of town and a nice place to stay for a couple of days. Near St John's tomb which is worth a visit. They... More

This nice little hotel has been recently renovated by the owner with beautifully carved furniture and decorations from local artisans. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly. The location a great, up the hill from the ancient city of Ephesus and right next to the Basilica of St. John. The courtyard is a great place to read, relax, and enjoy... More

While visiting the historic sites in and around Selcuk I stayed at the beautiful Nilya Hotel. A small hotel which is decorated in a unique Turkish style with beautiful furniture and Turkish rugs. Even though I has a late arrival the staff were available to deliver bags and help settle us into the hotel. All facilities in the room were... More

We traveled to Selcuk via an overnight bus from Istanbul, my family of six which included my husband and myself, our son Joshua and his wife, Cheryl, and their two daughters (our granddaughters!*) Aislinn, 13, and Ceallan, 11. When we arrived at the bus station and asked directions to the Nilya, we were told immediately where it was and how... More

The manager and taxi driver were so accommodating for my late arrival due to a delayed flight. They welcomed me in even though it was the middle of the night and made sure I had everything I needed. The rooms are sparse but comfortable, but the courtyard in which I had breakfast and the delicious breakfast the next day were... More
