Stayed here for two nights when touring Ephesus ruins. The rooms are somewhat dark, but the finishes are lovely and traditional, and the colors are warm. The upstairs terrace is pleasant and the courtyard terrace is very nice. The staff and owner were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was very good and enjoyed in a peaceful courtyard. Shops, restaurants, tourist sights... More

We use 'tripadvisor' to guide us in our seach for our travels. Over the past 36 years my wife and I have stayed in more than 300 hotels world wide. Our stay at the Nilya is one of the best experiences we have had. Yes, there are shortcomings- in every hotel fault can be found, if you want these little... More

Was booked at Hotel Nilya by our Travel Agency, Turkish Heritage. Appears that they have a friendly relationship with the hotel owner. Courtyard is lush and beautiful with a nice water feature. Room was okay. Clean, but a broken light fixture and you couldn't flush toilet paper, but instead had to put it in the waste basket which I thought... More

Hotel Nilya is located about 5-10 minutes away by car from the historical sites of Ephesus, making it a good launching point for day tours. The hotel is a very short walk away from the main drag in Selcuk, a cute town in the countryside that is about 45 minutes drive from Izmir. It is operated in conjunction with its... More

Our first stop in Turkey and they impressed us with their hospitality. Delicious and sufficient breakfast in the charming garden. Rooms were properly cleaned and the decor charming. I would prefer having some coffee in the room. For jet lagged travelers who wake up before everyone else does having coffee would be very useful. We had all our tours pre-booked... More

The staff were friendly and helpful. The courtyard is ideal place for breakfast in the morning or a drink later. The room was comfortable and well furnished. The towels were arranged in different guises every day, eg elephant, swan, which was a nice touch. There was also a quick turn around for any laundry. The Isa Bey mosque, citadel and... More

This hotel is in a great location on a hill, 5 minutes walk to the tourist sector. The staff are very efficient and eager to please, the enclosed courtyard is beautiful for having the fine breakfast they serve and just hanging around, and its sister hotel (Bella) around the corner has a rooftop restaurant overlooking the fabulous Church of St... The reviews on this place are so mixed, I wanted to try to add some clarity. The rooms ARE beautifully decorated and the bathrooms shiny and new. Yes, they do ask you to NOT put paper in the toilet. This is common throughout Africa, the Middle East, Asia and South America in budget accommodations or old and/or historic areas. If... More

We had less than 24 hours to tour Ephesus. The hotel arranged our airport pick up and drop off, a private tour guide and transportation to and from Ephesus. The rooms were nice but given that we were there for such a short time we didn't focus on the facilities. The sister hotel "Bella" has a roof top restaurant with... More

We stayed here one night following a night at Hotel Bella. The room was larger and was furnished in the same style. Breakfast was served in the courtyard. As mentioned, there is a mosque across the street and we were abruptly awoken in the wee hours of the morning. It is up and over the hill from downtown in a... More
