We travelled as a family of 5 and enjoyed everything about Barim. The owner and his wife are friendly and helpful and the pension is well located for all the attractions and the restaurants. It is very good value for money. We would recommend it

Basic accommodation. Plus points: -Owner was alert, always popping his head out from the reception whenever he hears us going in or coming out. -External decorations on the hotel is nice. -Location: Walking distance to museum, slightly nearer to Ephesus relatively to other places in town and walking distance to Mehmet & Ali Baba Kebab house (nice friendly eating place,... I dream to have a house as this, green, full of different plants, sympatic decoration everywhere, smells home and wind of countriside...they also have nice living room for reception, considerable service. Not difficult to find coz just behind the museum. The only pity is the condition of room is a little old, but that doesn't cover its comforts and nice atmosphere.... More

Conveniently located close to the bus station, Barim Pension is run by a friendly couple. This is a basic backpackers accommodation that is suits you when you are out most of the day visiting the museum and ruins and you are on a budget. The breakfast is basic but that meets expectations. The room that we stayed was with three... More

We initially had reservations at another place in Selcuk. While walking around, we passed the Barim Pension and I was taken by how beautiful it looked - encased in bougainvillea and lots of interesting metal work. Once we returned to our original booking, we were overwhelmed by the traffic noise and realized we did not want to spend the night.... More

Very lovely family run place catering toward cyclists but also to other travelers. Cute, vintage buildings with rustic charm and budget price point. Avoid the street facing rooms for noise control. They offer a turkish breakfast, wifi in the entry area and are in a good location near the bus station. A lovely breakfst courtyard complete with fountain and ivy... More

We were underwhelmed by this hotel after reading the positive reviews. While the family running the hotel seemed quite kind, our room was really more like a room in a hostel. Our bathroom had no shower curtain/divider so anytime you showered, the whole space was soaking wet - the toilet, sink, everything. Meaning that 4 hours later you still had... More

Actually, this is a very late review - I stayed in a private room back in August 2012 (note: Tripadvisor would not let me backdate the actual travel date) when I visited the ruins of Ephesus. The place is run by a family who try to keep the place in order and operational. The manager is very friendly and has... More

Our family of 5 stayed here in May 2014 in two adjoining rooms. Each room had its own bath. This place is not a fancy hotel, but is clean, safe and has comfortable beds and air conditioned rooms. It is family run and the owners are very friendly. There are mulberry trees outside and they picked mulberries for us (we... More
