It is a cozy hotel, not very spacious, but with clean rooms, good breakfast and excellent location. Majority of the Istanbul's sights are on a walking distance from Old City Viva Hotel. We stayed there in February, the weather was sunny, mostly, and we really enjoyed walking around this ancient part of Istanbul. The hotel provided transfer from Sabiha Gokcen... More

I stayed in Viva Hotel this month for the first time. Overall I cannot say a bad word about it - reception staff were very nice and polite, great choice of breakfast, perfect location. The only and main reason for giving an average score is because of my bad experience with cleanliness of my room. I wasn't sure whether the... More

The room was ok (wardrobe was not clean), the position of hotel is great. One station away from Agia Sofia, near to the maritim port Eminonu. Staff friendly, they offer us tea and cookies when they hear that we were for the first time in Istanbul). Small room were they serve breakfast (one morning we share our table with a... More

Located between Galata Bridge and Aya Sofia, Viva is at walking distance to everywhere. Rooms are clean and larger thane similar in Rome or Paris. English speaking staff helpful and friendly. Free Wi-Fi. Good buffet style breakfast. Very well priced comparing to the other hotels in the area. We were sleeping with an open window and it was quite quiet... More

As most of the other reviewers have suggested the greatest asset of the hotel is its location. Most of the well-known attractions are within 10-15 minutes walking distance while the tram station is only 3 minutes away. The hotel itself is old but it is in good condition. The staff were very helpful even though their English are very basic.... More

We stayed here for two nights. We stay at this hotel due to its location and convenience. It is walking distance to most of the tourist attractions in Fatih/Sultanahmet district (i.e., Topkapi Palace (6 minutes), Hagia Sophia (12 minutes), Blue Mosque (18 minutes), Grand Bazaar (15 minutes), Spice Bazaar (15 minutes) [varies by your walking speed.]). There are a lot... More

The hotel is in Sirkeci, which is a great location both for the historical centre of Istanbul and for starting to explore the bigger city, because all the transportation is really close. We stayed there in a triple room (3 adults) in the beginning of May 2014. The room was actually equipped with 1 double bed and 2 single beds.... More
