Staff were friendly and curteous. Night staff had better English skills that day staff. Breakfast was simple but adequate to set you up for the day. Lots of stairs and no lift but the view from the breakfast room was beautiful. It was originally the roof terrace I guess but is now an airy room with a fabulous view over... More

I highly recommend Cem Sultan. We stayed there for 10 days and loved it. The central, safe location and price are the bonus of this hotel. It is a short walk to many tourist sites, restaurants, and the very convenient tram. Rooms and linens were clean and provided daily. Bed and pillows were new and comfortable. Room is small, newly... Great place to be, everything in Sultan Ahmet Area is close and walkable. Room is small but clean and staff is friendly. I booked for two days via expedia and rates are also very good. Breakfast menu is simple @ rooftop overlooking sea with beautiful scenery Overall great, worth it

Hotel is located in the center of the tourist attractions. Walking distance to hagai sophia, blue mosque, toptaki palace, grand bazaar and train station. Laundry services are offered. Rooms are neat and has great view. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff are accomodating and polite. No elevator to bring up and down luggages but staff are kind to assist.

The rooms were clean and the location was in walking distance of the Blue Mosque. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and felt really safe. The hotel front desk assisted with tours, bus shuttle to airport.

We were very satisfied. There was not the best view in our room, but everything clean and it was in amazing location for a good price. Just few steps from Blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. Breakfasts on the terase were just perfect!

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
