We only stayed a couple nights in May for flight transfers but found it a very nice place to stay, Easy to get to via public transportation from the Ataturk Airport, although it takes about 90 minutes. The hotel is located in a area full of restaraunts and shops catering to tourists and a 5 minute walk from the Blue... More

I tried this hotel in my honeymoon, and the most distinguished thing about it is the very friendly staff. the manager (his name is Ahmad) was so nice and cooperative....he helped us a lot , and was very patient towards the so many questions we kept on asking him !!!

The room was very clean; I got the family room and was perfectly OK. The breakfast in the terrace was very good with a very nice view. People were very friendly and ready to help. The Hotel is very centrally located.

We were routed by our pre-booked hotel as it was full. We found this one to be better. It is located walking distance from blue mosque. The place has pink colour theme, may be to go with the name. Rooms are nice, staff very courteous with helpful advice, break fast spread was not so elaborate but decent. The only thing... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in early June 2015. Overall a very nice experience, with excellent value for money (the dolmabache suite). Key points include: Key Positives: 1) Very helpful guy at reception who helped with luggage, provided useful info on the city etc 2) Dolmabace Suite was very spacious and more than enough for two adults and two young... This place is adorable. It's super gaudy, bright colors everywhere, Victorian style beds, but I think that adds to the charm. The location is ideal. We had a very short time in Istanbul and were able to walk to the Grand Bazaar (10 min walk), Blue Mosque (5 min walk), Hagia Sophia (5 min walk) and the Cistern (10 min... More

Clean tidy hospitable. Location great. Can see the sea, Aya Sophia and Blue Mosque from the terrace area. Views great. Warm comfortable beds and pillows. Small personable. Shower heads work. What more can anyone ask for. Though road noise can occur if you forget to close the window.

Stayed here during first week of April for 2 nights. Chose this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews. Though it is good, we were expecting something way better. We stayed in the Dolmabache suite. The suites are not as luxurious as it is advertised or in photos. The hotel tries to maintain a vintage look and everything is very old in... More

Good location, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Good breakfast in turkish terms. Aya Sofia 300 meters, Topkapi 400 meters, Blue Mosque 200 meters. Decent street, quiet surroundings. Although windows overlook on a train line not noisy. Seagulls are much noisier :)

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
