We stayed for 3 nights in Rihtim Hotel. It is located in one of the best places in the Anatolian side: it is at two minutes walking distance from the Kadikoy dock, where you can take ferries to Besiktas, Karakoy and Eminonu. (The trip with the ferry takes about 5 minutes)
Other major Anatolian Istanbul neighborhoods such as Uskudar is accessible with busses and 'dolmus' that have their end-stops in front of the hotel. Kadikoy center, which contains many restaurants and small shops is 5 minutes away by foot. It is also very close to Haydarpasa train station.
The hotel itself is simple and clean (our bathroom was dirty, however it was cleaned after we notified the reception). If you get a sea-facing room, you will get a magnificent view (major monuments are located in the European side, so the view from the Anatolian side is better). The breakfast is nothing special, however it is served at the roof, where you have the beautiful view of the Marmara sea.
