We were given a nicely furnished room on the second floor of the hotel with large windows and an extremely spacious bathroom. The A/C worked perfectly and we could always count on the sunlight filtering in through the windows to light everything up. Our room was very clean and tidy and room service was perfect. This hotel is tucked in... More

During our visit to Istanbul for the first time, and after spending 3 nights at Seres Hotel, A friend recommend this Apricot Hotel to us. We visited the large room and my wife likes it. We cancel the booking left nights at Seres and moved there to spend the rest of our trip. The price was better, no extra-charge for... More

In a neighborhood surrounded by many much more expensive hotels, the Apricot was delightful. It's a five minute walk to the Blue Mosque and to the Tram, which takes you anywhere. Mohammed, the manager, who is always at the front desk, was very helpful with directions, technology, and even lugging baggage, although they installed a lift while we were there.... More

We loved the Apricot hotel. The staff and management were really friendly and ensured we had a good visit. It is centrally located. Be aware you will hear the call to prayer, but I found it lovely to listen to. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

We have been staying at the Apricot Hotel for years, beginning when it was in a different location nearby. Have always loved it for its location and for its staff----feel as if we are coming home. Rooms are lovely, quiet, peaceful, welcoming with comfortable beds and adequate bathrooms. Enjoy hearing the call to prayer in the morning. Breakfast is good... More

A small, well located hotel with a relaxing environment that is perfect for touring the major attractions, within 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque. It is located in a quiet street with lots of other hotels. The hotel room was small and simple, but clean and comfortable, with a/c, fridge, and tea/coffee making facility and the bed very comfortable.... More

We spent 4 nights in Apricot hotel in May 2015. The hotel is very well located in the center of the old city of Istanbul. The hotel runners were very welcoming and always happy to help us when needed. The breakfast in the morning was amazing ! We had at first an economic room which was little but clean and... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
