I loved the Apricot hotel. The staff and management were really friendly. It is centrally located. The rooms were comfortable and clean. A small, well located hotel with a relaxing environment that is perfect for touring the major attractions.

This is a nice little hotel located In a good spot In Istanbul for several interesting sites. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean and the breakfast was enjoyable. The staff are all very friendly and the price is acceptable for what you get.

at about 45 USD per night this was a good, clean, friendly place with good wifi and good air conditioning. I was very happy with the Apricot. The breakfast was not the best….I think they could put out less items and take better care…if they had half as much variety but the items were more mouth-watering, then I would have... More

An outstanding hotel with great value, great service and great breakfast. We were in the heart of old town Istanbul, the breakfast area overlooked a very scenic garden area facing the street. Our room, was quite lovely, old world style. The hotel does not have an elevator, we were on the second floor and I am now convinced all restaurants... More

Stayed here one night as I rolled into town ahead of friends. My experience wasn't far off from that of previous reviewers. It was a very pleasant stay for $45. They put me in a first floor bedroom with queen sized bed. The room was cozy and comfortable. The floor boards were creaky, but I found that charming. The only... More

We were given a nicely furnished room on the second floor of the hotel with large windows and an extremely spacious bathroom. The A/C worked perfectly and we could always count on the sunlight filtering in through the windows to light everything up. Our room was very clean and tidy and room service was perfect. This hotel is tucked in... More

During our visit to Istanbul for the first time, and after spending 3 nights at Seres Hotel, A friend recommend this Apricot Hotel to us. We visited the large room and my wife likes it. We cancel the booking left nights at Seres and moved there to spend the rest of our trip. The price was better, no extra-charge for... More

In a neighborhood surrounded by many much more expensive hotels, the Apricot was delightful. It's a five minute walk to the Blue Mosque and to the Tram, which takes you anywhere. Mohammed, the manager, who is always at the front desk, was very helpful with directions, technology, and even lugging baggage, although they installed a lift while we were there.... More

We stayed at apricot hotel for 6 days at the end of our 2 month trip across Europe. The staff was great, very very nice people and always making sure my 2 girlfriends and I were okay. Breakfast is included and is a traditional turkish breakfast. The location was great, about 4 minutes from the blue mosque and hagia sofia.... More

We loved the Apricot hotel. The staff and management were really friendly and ensured we had a good visit. It is centrally located. Be aware you will hear the call to prayer, but I found it lovely to listen to. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
