this was shocking, first the apartments are not signposted and the taxi won't find it easily, secondly we couldn't find our booking although we booked two months before the arrival date. We were told the owner had a funeral and the booking is made by him and the guy in ground have no control on who is staying where. So... More

A girlfriend & I stayed here for 5 days from Dec 30th until Jan 4th. I loved it! The beds were comfortable, the room stayed warm when it was cold outside, the water pressure is fantastic in the shower & the water was properly hot, we always had clean towels, and fresh bedding. Another huge added bonus was the free... More

The room I rented for three days was small but cute. The glasses and utensils were minimal but I arranged to get an additional glass and coffee cup. No heating in the bathroom at least in rooom number 3 on the third floor. You needed to run the shower to generate steam to use the bathroom comfortably. It was perpetually... More

I am super picky with food and I usually skip  on hotel breakfast because they are usually very plain. But this omelet was so good that I took a picture with it and every morning I dream about it since I got back from Istanbul . So I will definitely be back at ... Also, the room was spacious enough... The hotel location is very good, close to many businesses such as restaurants, historical location such as the Blue Mosque the Topkapi Palace and a place where everyone can spend at their free time which is the park in front of the Blue mosque. We enjoyed our time over there, the view looks very great, Tram (metro) located few minutes... More

After a failed reservation, at midnight looking for a place to stay we found the Ottomania Apartments, we were lucky, very nice people excellent conditions and location, especially for small groups traveling together (4-5 person), clean rooms, very close to historical center . We were pleased to stay there.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
