We were immediately greeted in reception who told we were getting an upgrade to a 4th floor corner room at no additional charge,. The room was Great, couch, table ,and was about twice the size of the one I had ordered. It had 7 windows, refrigerator, quality bed and a great bathroom. The breakfast was ok (included) and the free wireless... More

Excellent hotel in Sultanahmet, Topkapi Palace and Hippodrome. Nice lobby and seating room with complimentary cha (tea), Turkish Delight and pomegranate juice. Good complimentary buffet breakfast but menu should have change at least every other day.

Our local travel agent in Bergheim, Germany found this hotel for us. It is situated a stone’s throw-away from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, within easy walking distance from all the interesting sights in the district of Sultanahmet. The first room we were given was a wee bit too small and dark for us so we asked if... More

I liked it. We took economic room - it was very clean, new, nicely designed. On a quiet street. Friendely personnel. Breakfast is middle, do not recommend as well food on the roof - for eating better go out!

Nice hotel. Good location. 2 minutes to the central square, 3 minutes to the Blue Mosque, St Sofia and other must see palces. Recommended for good rest with family, friends, beloved ones! Small rooms :)

I had spotted this hotel when I was in Istanbul last May. Ideally located near the main tourist sites, loads of restaurants nearby and five minutes from the Arasto Bazaar with its many attractive shops. I opted for a more spacious corner room and was very happy with my choice. Very comfortable bed with top quality bedlinen and a compact... More

we booked this on hotwire and got a fabulous rate. it's perfectly situated in Sultanahmet - walk up towards the blue mosque and Aya Sofia and down towards the promenade. The balcony has fabulous views all round - blue mosque and the bosphorous. the service was also good - they arranged early check-in for 2 couples in our party, one... More

The staff were extremely helpful for my entire stay. The room was very nice and felt cozy and had a lot of character. It was within walking distance to all places I wanted to go to while staying. Very good breakfast. Everything was great about this hotel! The location was great for visiting museums and other sites!

We stumbled on this little gem by accident... We got a little lost and so happy we did. Great food, great view and great service all while you watch ships sail over the Bosphorus. Just doesn't get much better than this! Absolutely sensational. I know where we'll be staying next time we're in this beautiful city...

The location of this little hotel is awesome: A few steps away one of the main restaurant and bar strips in the old town. It's quiet at night, but everything is reachable by foot. The room was small (like all hotel rooms in this area) but comfortable. The aircon worked without much noise and the bed provided a proper night... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
