We were a family of four in Istanbul for 2 days and found a perfect little budget hotel with a great location. There are a lot of restaurants nearby for amazing Turkish food. It's a 5-7 minute walk from Blue Mosque and other tourist sites! The service is very friendly and the breakfast on the terrace is lovely. The only... More

Fantastic location, within 5 minutes of walking distance to Arasta Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, 15 min walk to Grand Bazar, 5 min walk to Bascilia Cistern...loads of great Restaraunts, Cafes, shopping places, metro links all within minutes of walking. Also few minutes walk to Sea if you fancy a stroll. Great Shisha gardens around. Apart from the location, Sercan,... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, location very close to Blue Mosque and other sites, very nice breakfast, roof terrace. Was told that the owner was taking back charge after having outsourced management of hotel for a couple of years with bad results. Wants to bring back of the level-quality of service, and I believe they are on the right track!... More

The breakfast is good not a lot of variety but it s delicious and clean... More

This is a small little hotel run now by the family who owns the place so they are investing more into it. The owner, a young Turkish guy from Holland is very friendly and helpful, taking care of everything that you need without pushing you to take one tour or other. This place has the best breakfast we had in... More

Lovely hotel situated in the heart of Istanbul old town (Sultanhamet), within walking distance of most of the main attractions, bars and restaurants. Very clean and homely, with very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast selection and lovely views of the Marmara sea and blue mosque from the breakfast terrace. The only downside was the size of the bedroom.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
