Arrived late at night in April 2015. Found staff very pleasant and helpful. Yes rooms are smaller than some other hotels but spotless. Towels and sheets changed every other day. Place very close to all tourist sites and plent of restaurants (Turkish and international) nearby to suit every pocket. Had many happy nights in the reception area. There's no bar... More

We were conned into staying here as we were told it was a fantastic place. Upon arrival it doesnt look that bad from the outside and the reception area was quite clean. However upon entering our room we were shocked. It looked like a converted boxroom. It was smaller than a bathroom. The bed was practically concreate. No curtains and... More

1) Any staffs please be a little bit more hardworking and reply guests email. I emailed the hotel twice to ask about transportation arrangement from Sabihah Gokcen to hotel. but none reply. we ended up taking the bus to taksim where we were surrounded by haughty looking taxi driver and took a cab to Fatih. and the taxi driver even... We didnt knowingly book in to Rose Bouquet hotel. Our hotel was 'full' so they moved us here. What an awful place. We were hasselled on a daily basis by the owner to pay in cash and asked to show our passports multiple times. It became clear that we werent actually on the books. We paid card, which they werent... We arrived mid-morning in Istanbul, and had expected to be put up overnight by Turkish Airlines due to a near 24 hour delay between our arriving flight from Thessaloniki and our departing flight for Los Angeles. Our travel agent had made a mistake, there was a flight to Los Angeles with a shorter layover and since we could have booked... More

Please please do not be fooled by the pictures of this hotel. The reality is very far fetched. Lousy room service, we had to beg for clean towels, which came 3 days later and was actually foot towel. Reception and staff are thugs, was rude and cold. Once you checked in that's it, you cannot cancel until end of your... More

Living Hell, Avoid at all Costs. Room photos available were faked. Bedsheets are dirty with NO housekeeping at all for the whole duration of stay. No amenities at all. Dirty Room, Dirty Floor, Filthy and Mouldy Toilets, Broken Furniture and Dirty Linen from rooms on our floor was left outside of our room for a 3 days and noticed only... More

We booked this hotel through booking.com and believed that the photos and description would be an honest representation of the place (naiive, moi?)! The place is old, dirty and the male staff are cold, rude and hostile. Our room had a small double bed that must have been made from concrete and no sheets! The bathroom only had hot water... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night as i had a 24 hour transit in Turkey. Upon arriving i asked where i could get something to eat and was told to go sleep and breakfast will be served in the morning. The single bedroom was tidy but not what i was expecting looking at the photos. The breakfast in the... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
