We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and got to know the manager quite well, my luggage had been lost by Turkish Airlines and he went out of his way to help me by calling everyday to see if it had been found. He genuinely sympathized with me as though I were a family member not just a tourist and... More

It's extremely comfortable and feels like home after a while. The breakfast on the roof with a view of the Bosphorous started our days there. The hosts are friendly and warm. Plus, it's located in the heart of the Old City and all the major sites are at a walking distance. No one shall regret staying here. Missing Istanbul!

I stayed for 2 nights during a business visit to Istanbul. I would say the hotel was decent and good enough for my purpose. I went there during off season, and the weather was at its lowest point, so couldn't expect much from them. Quality of rooms and service was very good at this price.

The view on the Bosporus, Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia are great from the roof terrace. Friendly and service minded staff. Its not the best and cleanliest hotel in the area, but considering the A+ location affordable prices and friendly staff its great value for money.

I stayed here as a solo traveller. The staff were amazingly helpful from the front desk to the bar. It was walking distance to most things and the guys showed me where to go on the map and helped me book a tour. I would stay here again. It was noisy but I imagine any hotel in this area would... Disappointed to find this hotel noisy because of the location over lively bars, etc. into the wee hours. Also didn't feel the rooms, breakfast, etc. were up to the same standards we had found after 3 weeks of travel thru various parts of Turkey staying in similar priced or cheaper hotels.

We stayed here 3 nights in July 2014. The hotel and rooms were very clean, although the toilet in our room seemed to be slowly leaking water from somewhere. You should be aware that due to the historic nature of the building this hotel does not have an elevator, which I think is the norm for smaller hotels in this... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
