Stayed 4 nights in Amisos hotel and would have no problem going back there. Major plus for me was the location - tram stop Gulhane is very close and although we had a room facing the street there was no problem with noise. Breakfast on the 4 th floor was typical Turkish - plenty of cheese yogurt and honey.

If you can get a good price for this hotel I would recommend it. I did so by walking into the hotel to ask for the price. I was there February/March/April and they offered me a good price. I would also suggest inquiring via email. The price on their website and on booking.com is too much. Hotel prices go up(alot)... More

We have enjoyed four pleasant days in Amisos hotel which is very conveniently located to explore the historical sights of Istanbul. The hotel management and staff were very helpful to make our stay memorable and provided great assistance with booking restaurants, traffic arrangements etc. The rooms are cosy and give you a true Istanbul experience.

Very good, very clean, fresh sheets every day. Very friendly and helpful. Well positioned for all attractions. Able to walk to Topkapi palace and Blue Mosque. Took a tram ride about 8 stops and found local typical shops to do shopping at good cheap Turkish prices different from main tourist area.Would go again and would highly recommend. We stayed b&b.... Clean but not very big rooms. Great location with less than 10 min waling distance to Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. Rooms have color themes. Tried the Black room and Blue room. Just in front of Tram station. You can find lots of restaurants in the nearby area.

An emergency in our original accommodations forced us to evacuate and find a quick replacement. This place has a few things going for it: location convenient to the main tourist sites and transportation, staff who really try hard to make your stay better, the lady who runs the breakfast room! She, in particular, made us feel like we were at... More

What they consider air conditioning is ridiculous. The room was so hot with the windows closed that we preferred opening the balcony to listen to the noises of the tram and the people three stories below us, rather than cooking alive. The automatic flushing toilet was annoying. I mastered courtesy flushing on demand by the end of our first night.... More

The room concept in this hotel is very interesting. Each floor has a set of rooms of different colors. I stayed at the blue room. The decoration is very amusing. The bathroom is nice and clean, however sometimes we couldn't really deal with the automatic flush of the toilet. There's an amazing little place for breakfast at the very top... More

.. but not me! The air conditioning was not working when I arrived, and the'person who knew about it' was not at work for 48 hours. A giant fan was produced which took up most of the free space in the tiny, kitsch bedroom. The only thing going for this hotel is its convenient location in the old town....but there... More
