Pros: very friendly staff with good english skills who helped me find anything I needed. Airport shuttle only 25 lira. A/C and wifi worked well which was a blessing. Near to many major tourist sites (10 minutes to the ayasofia and topkapi palace). 2 minute walk to the sirkeci tram station. Breakfast served until 10am (a turkish spread). Also right... More

The location is good. That's all good and ends. Service abominable Staff is lazy and spoiled. Suppose, most likely, by the owner no control over the work of the staff, or does not explain the wild story that occurred to me. Description of history. On arrival at the front desk showing a printout of its 2 bookings (first booked a... More

Based on location, staff, services and price, I have to give this hotel 5 stars at every aspect. A little short on parking places but can be solved just around the corner, at a private, secure parking lot.

It is a nice place, indeed! For this kind of prices, the facilites are more than perfect! And the staff of the hotel are friendly. The hotel it's quite next to the tram station and it is easier for you to reach everywhere. Definitely i ll come back there!

We stayed in several hotels in Istanbul, but I was in love with Turvan. For the price and the quality of one of the best in Istanbul! Breakfast choice was even bigger than before! Breakfast is rich, I love traditional food. Staff as always friendly, gracious and helpful. Thank you!

I didn't stay in the hotel. I just used the Turkish bath. It has a dry and wet sauna, a jaccuzi, a frigidarium, and whatever you call the section where you are peeled, soaped, and bathed. There is also the option to have an oil massage. I was told that it would take an hour and a half for "the... More

The Hotel is quite good, the room is little bit small, but the location is perfect, you're in the middle of the town, everything around you, Mr.Farahat was helpful and so kind, you can trust him as a friend, this is the most important for you as a tourist.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
